Lovely, homely b&b with very welcoming hosts in Martin and Judith. Spotless rooms and this review reinforces others in emphasising the wondeful breakfasts (I have a photograph of it!) - all devoured while watching the greenfinches, chaffinches and sparrows feeding on the verandah!

The little "snug" upstairs allows the browsing of all things local though Judith and Martin are both very knowledgeable and delighted to share that knowledge.

Salen itself is an ideal location for Mull's joys and there is a well-stocked store opposite as well as the Salen Hotel which does perfectly adequate bar mealsr and good Guinness!

A gem of a place and we'll be back.

Very good B&B.
Home made yogurt for breakfast was a real treat.
Salen is a very good central location from which to tour Mull by car.
I would also recommend a boat trip to Staffa.
The B&B owners also run boat trips to see the sea eagles, (a service which had stopped by late September).

First trip to Mull, couldn't have wished for a better B&B. Its in an excellent location in Salen, central for trips around the island and within walking distance of the local hotel and restaurants. Lovely spacious comfortable room and the breakfasts were wonderful. Judith and Martin were very knowledgable aboout the island and couldn't have been more helpful, providing recommendations for outings etc. They have a range of books about the island and maps which can be borrowed. Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for a week and even brought my 92 year old mother and another elderly friend with us.The food and accommodation was brilliant. Martin & Judith were so helpful, advising us and booking us onto not only Martin's boat trips but also others like Turus Mara. What was unforgettable were Martin's boat trips to see the Sea Eagles, we did 2 of them. I know he feeds them the odd fish or two but they seemed to come on demand. No wonder the BBC have used him for Springwatch and other wildlife programmes. I cannot recommend this place more highly if you want to see Mull's unique wildlife!

A great b&b in a peaceful village in the Isle of Mull: wonderful hosts, large and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Salen is located at the centre of the isle, at 1h30 by car from the ferry to Iona and not far from Tobermorry. We recommend it to everyone

It was a pleasure to stay here. Without being too effusive Judith and Martin were so helpful and informative.
The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious.
Towels changed everyday.
Wonderful little library at the top of the stairs.
The breakfast was second to none, with all tastes catered for.
And to top it all they were Yorkshire born.
Have already recommended it to others and would gladly return.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights.
The owners Judith and Martin are a lovely friendly couple and made our stay an enjoyable one.
Our room was a good size, spotless, and had a large ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it.
There is room to park at the back of the house and Salen itself is a nice quiet place to stay.
