“A cosy and welcoming B&B in a beautiful spot”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

I would like to echo previous positive reviews. We found the Seaview very welcoming, and John was a great help in getting the best from our visit. Our room was very cosy, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom perfect. We have stayed in many hotels and B&B's where little things can let the experience down, but I have to say our stay at the Seaview was faultless. The Scottish breakfasts were the best we've had, very well cooked to order, very tasty and not greasy at all. We particularly valued the advice we received on the local area and help booking trips to the local islands. This is a very well run establishment both front and back of house, and a credit to the whole team.

Room Tip: Request a room at the front if possible to enjoy those views of the beach and the islands.

John and Jane are great: helpful, friendly, welcoming. John seemed to be able to give directions for every walk in the area. B&B nice. Breakfast great. Couldn't fault it. Would love to go back.

Only minor downside (not their fault) is that the pub next door is really the only place to eat in the evening (unless you drive) and they don't take bookings. John has some good tips for getting in but if you get it wrong you may have to wait over an hour for a table.

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Iona" room described on the website as "cosy". It is quite sma...

An excellent stay at Seaview, where we were most warmly welcomed and looked after by John and Jane. Wonderfully quiet location near the western shore line and perfect for the boats to Iona and Staffa, with very comfortable rooms in a modern style and excellent breakfasts. I can heartily recommend Seaview to others and hope to return as soon as we can return to Mull!

Just back from a weekend trip to Mull and thoroughly glad we chose Seaview for our stay. The hosts, John & Jane were very welcoming, from the moment we parked on the Friday 'til we drove off on the Sunday.

The B&B is perfectly placed for trips to Iona (ferry is only a couple of hundred metres away) or local sight-seeing/boat trips (again only a couple of hundred metres away) and plenty of great countryside around for walks/cycling...

The accommodation was bright, clean, and well maintained. The breakfast service was superb with a good selection. And whilst we chose the smallest room (advertised as a single, but with a double bed - none of the double rooms were available at time of booking) it had its own spacious private shower room/toilet (not an en-suite) and offered wonderful views out across the bay to Iona.

The hosts were always on hand with advice and were helpful with ferry times and booking boat trips (at no extra cost above the prices if we had booked ourselves!)

Overall, an excellent experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we're out that way.

It's maybe worth mentioning that the B&B is also home to a couple of dogs, but they are as friendly as the owners and very well behaved (never heard them bark once whilst there!)

More than happy to recommend Seaview to anyone looking for accommodation on Mull...

Room Tip: The Staffa room is smaller than the other rooms, but you're not going to Mull to stay in your ro...

What a B&B this place is. Upon your arrival John is right there making you feel welcome and taking a genuine interest in your travels. He is a wealth of knowledge on everything local and can provide some excellent recommendations on what to see and do. The rooms are spectacular and modern, nothing is out of place, everything functions as it should. You feel like you are at home here. The breakfast, what can we say, you don't get this type of choice and meal in 5 star resorts! This property and experience by far was the best we've experienced in all our travels. The only thing we regret is that we didn't stay longer than one night at the Seaview.

We stayed over a long weekend with 3 rooms booked. We enjoyed the welcome, the hospitality, the information provided and given, pack lunches and of course the dogs! Jane & John work hard in keeping an exceptional B&B, I or my brothers would not hesitate to stay again or recommend the Seaview to family & friends.

We were very impressed with Seaview. John was so helpful when we arrived and did everything he could to ensure that we made the most of the short time we were there. He arranged a boat trip for us and even altered a ferry booking on our behalf. The room was very well appointed and the shower was excellent. We loved meeting the dogs and making a fuss of them. Very good breakfasts. Bob wants the recipe for Jane's home made muesli. The best he has ever tasted. Thank you so much.
