Booked for 4 nights DBB including packed lunch. Had a well behaved dog which was allowed in the reception/bar area which was a bonus. Room was fine with excellent view to Craignure. Staff very helpful (in particular Chris behind the bar). Breakfast excellent, table d'hote dinner adequate with a la carte supplements a bit steep. Packed lunch was wrong on first day but rectified thereafter. Leisure facilities very good. Good location for exploring this beautiful island, not to mention Iona and Staffa. My partner was most impressed with Luxury Manicure! Overall, excellent hotel, excellent value and pet-friendly (important to us). Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I are just back from a four night stay at The Isle of Mull Hotel, Mull which we booked through the Easy Breaks website. We have nothing but praise for the staff, management and the facilities offered. As a Guide Dog user I found the hotel staff extremely helpful and accommodating eg: made sure we had plenty of space at tables etc.

Our room was fairly compact but clean and adequate. The bathroom was huge, complete with bath and shower and as much hot water as anyone could need. The food and in the restaurant was fantastic. There was a good variety of choices for both breakfast and evening meal. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and incredibly efficient at all times.

The hotel has five star leisure facilities which we made full use of during our stay. Once again fantastic! The outsdide hot tub is a must and should'nt be missed!

As a final note the view from the hotel is amazing, looking right over the sea. The hotel is also conveniently located to the ferry terminal - 10 min walk max.

We very much look forward to our next visit!

We booked a 4 day walking break having spent the previous 2 days at another Crerar hotel in Inverary. Having had a bad experience of the service at the previous hotel we were slightly nervous that this may be the norm for the Crerar group. We were pleasantly surprised therefore as we were greeted by an efficient and friendly receptionist who gave us all the information we needed to settle in and find our way around. Throughout our stay the staff were extremely helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel. The service in the restaurant was prompt, courteous and efficient and the food was excellent value including the packed lunches provided daily.
The Leisure facilities have been recently refurbished and are excellent. We especially enjoyed the hot tub located overlooking the sea.
The location of the hotel is superb, as are the views from the public areas, but the view from our room was spoiled by unkempt high hedges which obscured our view of the sea and increased the number of flying insects! The general decor was adequate except on the stairs and corridors, which had a hostel-like ambience and would benefit from some furnishings and pictures.
Our main criticism concerns the general housekeeping as our room became increasingly grubby during our stay and was never vacuumed or dusted during the whole 4 days. As an asthma sufferer, a dusty environment is quite dangerous for me! After the third day we drew a pattern in the thick dust on the tabletop hoping the housemaid would take the hint....but no such luck!! A quick look under the beds revealed all manner of treasures from previous guests! Hoovering, as well as dusting, was obviously not a priority! This theme continued throughout the corridors and stairwells where an accumulation of carpet fluff and dust was apparent.
I think the management would be well-advised to spot-check the deep cleanliness of rooms on a regular basis as this grubbiness is spoiling what is otherwise a credit to the Crerar group.
We would definitely stay here again and considered the walking break to be excellent value.

Many thanks for your response to your recent visit to Mull and i will certainly investigate your comments regards the cleanliness of the hotel. There is no reason for this and no excuse and i do apologise.
Comments from our guests are very important as it lets us see from the other side where we are failing and obviously where we are doing well. We discuss and action all comments from our previous guests and hopefully this will deter the situation repeating itself.
Again my thanks

Stayed here for a short break. Room comfortable and clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Leisure facilities were excellent especially the outdoor hot tub. Public areas could do with updating but the views are stunning. I had booked on a DB&B basis but found the Dinner to be very disappointing. On the first evening the table d'hote was quite poor so opted for the A La Carte as it was my husband's birthday - I was horrified at the surcharges on this menu. Normally we have paid a few pounds extra on each course depending on choice but this was practically the full cost of the various courses. I did complain about this to Reception and I did receive a small credit on my bill but the meal was not really up to the standard of the prices. I chose the selection of 3 ice creams for my suite from the A La Carte menu and requested no rum and raisin but 2 of one of the others in the selection. It came with the rum and raisin and I said to the waiter that I had asked not to have the rum and raisin. He brought it back to me and said that the chef said it was coffee which I was happy to accept but on tasting it I knew it was the rum and raisin - especially when I found the raisins!!! I thought this was bad customer service. Second night's table d'hote sounded very nice but was not wonderful. Actually the lounge bar menu sounded much better than the restaurant menu so I would stay here again on a B&B basis and would recommend it on this basis.

We stayed overnight at the hotel. We arrived just after 1pm, and our room wasn't to be ready until 3pm. we sat outside and had a lovely bar snack and a few drinks. Excellent service from the bar. One of the reception staff actually came to us with out key when our room was ready - excellent service.
There are fantastic views from the public areas and bedrooms and all staff were friendly and attentive.
I agree with a previous review about the hedges needing attention - or soon there will be not much lower level views.
We did not use the leisure facilites - i don't fancy using a hot tub that others have used before me - unsure how often the water is changed!! So cannot comment on the facilities.
Our room was comfortable - airy and comfy bed. The bathroom was a bit dated but had been cleaned - broken tap and chips in the bath etc but really wasn't that bad. Could have perhaps done with a non-slip mat and it's quite a high bath so may not be good for elderly or infirm.
There was no remote for the tv - but we are both blessed with working legs (as the majority of folk are) so managed to use it fine.
overall a good hotel, very reasonable rates, great location. clean enough, but could maybe benefit from a spring clean - windows, doors and furniture in bedrooms - a good wipe down would do the trick.
We will go back and would recommend this hotel for a good value break.

Many thanks for your reviews after your stay with us earlier in the month. I have noted the points you have highlighted and will investigate. The only comment i would make on the hot tub is it is emptied and cleaned twice a week and has chemicals put in on a daily basis and of course we monitor all readings accordingly and record these for our outside audits.
Views from our customers are very important as it assists in the training we under take on an on going basis.

Stayed for 2 nights, and will go back to this hotel. Location is great and so was all our meals (breakfast and dinner). Pool and spa is a great place to relax and unwind and spotless clean. All the staff were very pleasant and nothing was a problem. Our rooms were a good size and very comfortable. We had a teenager and 2 dogs with us and we all had a great time. This is the most relaxing time we have had on holiday for years. Thanks to all the staff.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was fine and clean and the kids appreciated the choice of TV channels. The food was good and suitable for the kids. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The spa was excellent. The location is great. Easy for the ferry at Craignure and not too far from Tobermory. We also went to Iona and Staffa, well worth a visit and the journey down goes through lovely scenery.
