Hot tub still as only 1 jet working . Spoke to locals hot tub only recently put back on as was not warm enough? . Seems to cater for walkers as rooms are a good hike from bar /restaurant - no soda water/juice available at all on draught only expensive small bottles. Service is inconsistent and lapsidasical . Food average and nothing special . This hotel is supposed to be under new management ! . In a day of cleanliness a quick check round the stainless edging on the pool would not go amiss on the build up of?.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologise if the food was not to your taste, this is not a common issue and with 3 course tabled'hote, full a la carte and bar menu we can usually satisfy our customers and I am sorry if this was not the case for yourself. The hot tub has had significant repair recently, following the arrival of parts from America, however there is still one part awaited. We did however feel it was right to put the hot tub in action for our guests to use and enjoy. The sides of the pool are cleaned regurlarly and dosing of chemicals ensures there is no bacteria. However I have inspected this following your comment and had an additional clean undertaken. I can assure you that all feedback is used when and where possible to improve our service, standards and product, and as a fairly recent Management team to the Hotel we are always here to meet personally with customers who would like to bring matter to our attention that they feel need improving. I do hope that all in all you will consider your time with us on Mull a happy one and consider a return visit in the future. Regards Neal Goldsmith General Manager.

Spent 8 days at this hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great view from our room and lovely meals in the restaurant. All the staff, especially on reception and in the spa were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area.

...the hotel may just be average lodging...BUT the dinners prepared by a Philipino chef ARE OUTstanding! Good views of the bay... Nice little path to town pubs... BUT wait until the chef REGALES you with his phaesant served with crispy polenta, amazing black pudding and a bean compote (cassoulet) that will knock you over!!!! the apps and desserts are fit for the best world restaurant...the staff so efficient .....all to be repeated the next night with venison served SO TENDER, it melts in your mouth!!! Worth the stop....wish we could take the chef back to Canada with us!!!!

Room Tip: Ask to be close to reception....huge complex....and complicated stairs make for an adventuresome sea...

Hello and thanks so much for taking the time to post your review. We are thrilled with your comments about the food and our lovely chef, thank you. We work hard to provide great food using local ingredients where we can source them. Sorry we could not let you take him back with you, but do visit again one day. regards Neal Goldsmith, General Manager

We stayed two nights and the the first night was very noisy. We complained and were promised they would have a word the occupants. I wasn't very hopeful but it worked second night you could have heard a pin drop.
Restaurant OK great views but pricey for what it is. Rooms a little tired had a very creaky bed. Pool nice probably the best view of any swimming pool any where.

It's the small things that let this place down.

Unlike other spa hotels in the chain there are no dressing gown or slipper supplied, which is especially disappointing given that there were no private showers in the spa area (only poolside ones) and it was a fair trek (through lounge areas) from the pool area to our room.

Despite what you may see in the promotional pictures, there is no seating by the pool side apart from a couple of benches to leave your towels on. That is a big shame as the views are lovely and I could have happily whiled a morning away lazing by the pool with a good book in between an occasional dip.

The fact that the hot tub was out of action was a let down too (by the looks of past reviews it has been out of action for a while). I think I saw a 'jacuzzi' mentioned in some advertising material somewhere too (as well as a hot tub), but we couldn't find that.

The food wasn't bad, but several (though not all) of the staff appear not very happy in their jobs.

The best thing about this hotel: that it is so close to the Craignure Inn - a lovely wee local pub with good food. It had far more atmosphere than this rather utilitarian hotel and 'spa'.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to post your review following your stay with us. I am sorry if there were aspect of your stay that were a disappointment and that you feel we could do better. We certainly take on board all customer feedback and use this when and where possible to "do better". We do have robes and slippers at the Hotel and in upgrade rooms these are provided free of charge. We can provide to standard rooms for a small charge and I am not sure from your review if you asked about this during your stay. Regretfully the Hot tub has been out of action for about 5 weeks. the issue being that a part was needed which could only be sourced from America and took some time. We do have a regular maintenance and service programme but this was not something we could have foreseen or planned for and could only effect the repair as quicly as was possible. I can only apologise genuinely if you felt we did not get everything right and can assure you that your comments have been discussed and actions taken when and where we could. I do hope that you will consider a return visit with us in the future. Regards Neal Goldsmith General Manager

We had read the reviews here about this hotel before we went and they were about right. The Hotel is a little tired and could do with a bit of modernisation. The room was adequate but again could do with new bed, bathroom etc. It rained (no surprise) so the spa was excellent. Good size pool and sauna / steam room all very nice. Even sat in the outside hot tub in the rain...breakfast was really good. Staff were friendly, so overall, not bad but could do better.

Good things about this hotel: staff very helpful and friendly, room very clean, amazing views over the sea, Spa and pool available (but didn't use).
Food - mediocre although service good.
Bad thing - walls paper thin, so thin you can hear people breathing in the adjoining rooms!
Expected more from this hotel for the money we paid.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask for a room with no guests either side of you or above or below you.
