Quiet, peaceful location but close enough to Bunnesson village.
Very good comfortable accomadation with fabulous garden and views.
Location good, especially for visiting Iona. Far enough from the road to avoid being annoyed by passing traffic.
Local shops adequate but not many places to eat out. The Blackbird was excellent, Bunessan Hotel not recommended.
We were impressed with the local Heritage Centre and the welcome we received and ditto the weaving mill at Ardalanish (nice beach nearby too).
Only criticism is complete lack of instructions - the water was cold the first evening because there was nothing to tell us to switch water heating on (very easily done once we found out).
We felt that instructions should have been available for all the appliances, which were in good order but might have been mis-used without proper guidance.
Also disappointed that the owner had not provided her own notes about how to reach beaches, etc. - we had to search for booklets and these may not have included everything available to those in the know.
We saw lots of rabbits and a hare but hardly any birds!
Lovely location and view, weather permitting. Spacious, clean, well maintained and comfortable -- beds too. Amenities very accommodating for the less physically able. Well placed for radiating exploration. The dog also gives it a paws up. Thanks for facilitating.
The cottage was equipped to a standard we haven't experienced anywhere else. The location was ideal for us, very close to the Ferry to Iona and boat trips to Staffa.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Erisgeir. The cottage is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It is in a lovely secluded location with extensive views across to Burg. In the evenings we often saw deer and hen harriers from the sitting room window.
The cottage is close to beautiful sandy beaches. Fionnphort and the ferry to Iona is only 5 minutes drive away.
The area is great for walking, kayaking, wildlife spotting or just relaxing.
This was our second stay at this cottage. Fabulous, isolated, spacious cottage in a great location on South Mull near to Iona. Plenty of walks nearby and sandy beaches to keep dogs and kids busy. If you come here, especially for the first time then don't miss out on Iona and a boat trip to Staffa which is definitely a must do. The cottage provided us with a great base to relax and from which to explore this spectacular part of Mull. We'll visit again one day.
Had a lovely two weeks at Erisgeir. The weather was good and you get the sun all around on a nice day. The bungalow is very well equipped, warm and comfortable and was very clean on arrival, it stands in its own grounds and is quiet and private. The view from the window is very nice, we saw red deer in the field when it was dusk and hen harrier were also spotted. There is a chance of spotting sea eagles and the ferry across to Iona is about 5-10 minutes down the road, where you can see and hear corncrakes, plenty to see all around for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Would certainly stay there again and would recommend.
