I had the pleasure of staying at the Stables for a weekend. I have had the pleasure of staying with Graham at 29Kenneth Street and Seacote they excellent finished and well equipped. The Stables is a hidden gem quite and in easy reach of the Ferry and all amenities Storonoway has to offer. I would recommend this or any of Grahams properties. I am looking for to a return visit in May 2013

Room Tip: The Stables is a self contained property with a mezzanine sleeping area

We have stayed in a lot of self catering accommodation over the years and this was by far one of the best! Where do I start?? Metagama is a beautiful lodge on the edge of Stornoway with lovely views over fields and down towards an estuarine beach which is a 5 minute walk and well worth it for the wildlife. The town centre is about 15/20 minutes walk and there is an excellent Co-operative food store about 5/10 minutes walk so the location is perfect. The lodge itself is well furnished to an exceptionally high standard with everything we needed e.g fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, toaster, sauna, spa bath, very comfortable bed and the all important wifi! We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner, Graham, who kindly gave us a lift to the supermarket when we arrived so we could stock up as we didn't hire a car until a few days into the holiday. We had a brilliant holiday here on our first trip to Lewis and we would highly recommend Metagama. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Once again we had a great two week holiday staying at Metagama. The accommodation is first class, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Long walks on the beach followed by a relaxing sauna and jacuzzi. Although Metagama is in the centre of Stornoway, there is no noise. A very peaceful setting in 5 star quality surroundings. Graham and the girls couldn't be more friendly and are always keen to make sure we are having a great holiday. Fantastic value for money, we visit Stornoway every year and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

I visit Lewis regularly and I have chosen to stay at the Iolaire lodge on a number of occasion's. The lodge is ideal for our family with young children with all the practical stuff that us parents need such as washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, dining area and fully stocked kitchen etc. whilst also having a number of treats for the children such as Sky TV, free wi-fi and the surprise box of toys and books which were delivered on our arrival much to our children's delight. The lodge is spacious and warm with hot water always available and in short, has everything we need for a home from home (in addition to some extras such as the hot tub, spa bath and sauna!). The booking process was very professional and the owners make every effort to accommodate your needs and arrival times. This is an excellent accommodation choice in Stornoway and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a "home" experience rather than a hotel room whilst on a trip to the island. I will definately be back.

Myself and a few friends stayed at the Craigroyston Lodge in November to celebrate a birthday. We were all very impressed with the high standard of the lodge, it was very spacious and clean and we also enjoyed the warm reception from Graham when we arrived. The kitchen was extremely well equipped meaning we could cook meals and we were also able to make a birthday cake with ease. The house was very warm and comfortable and we had an excellent sleep every night due to the amazing beds. The bathrooms were very clean but especially enjoyed the upstairs shower, which is definitely the best i've ever come across. We were hesitant to brave the hot tub in the cold november weather but it was well worth it!! Excellent touch and really made us feel like V.I.P.s!
The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful but only a 5 minute drive from the town centre, perfect!
