I knew how good the whisky was but didnt know how good the food would be. We took the tour and it was great. We then had lunch and what a treat.
Even if you don't like whisky you will find something to your taste at this great distillery.
A must go if on Islay.

After a Lagavulin tour the Ardbeg tour was a bit disappointing. The guide spoke very slowly and understandably, clearly because there were many non-native English speakers on the tour. For us, also non-native English speakers, the speech was sometimes way too slow and simple, to the point that sometimes it was annoying. The guide was not very enthusiastic about whisky or the process. Either because of the guide's simple speech or the lack of enthusiasm, the tour didn't give much if you have visited a distillery before. At the end you get a dram of one of three whiskies, the selection was the Ardbeg Ten, Uigeadail and Corryvreckan.

The distillery itself was nice and the toilets were excellent.

Amazing - staff are brilliant, atmosphere excellent, food to die for, very good value, lots of great Ardbeg whisky to choose, and the best views on Islay. It's a MUST VISIT when you go to Islay!

Possibly one of the nicest locations for a distillery set upon a rocky coastline edging towards the seashore.Brilliant white buildings factory distillery and a very good restaurant. We took their first tour around 10.30am on the Saturday morning with a large group of Italian tourists. Our guide a tall young lady with ample personality explained the intricate methods employed in the making of their single malt, she was an excellent speaker full of personality and the tour took approximately 90 minutes. The end of the tour with a tasting was indeed the highlight for everyone in a small room and tasting ample pours of this golden liquid making new friends and just having a great experience,we stayed for late lunch in the restaurant and that was also an excellent choice. We highly recommend this distillery and vote it the best that we experienced on Islay,I am sure you will too....................

A well organised tour followed by a very detailed tasting. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the tasting was a leisurely affair, My wife wanted to add that the toilets were some of the best she has seen in the UK !
The restaurant looked very clean with plenty of fresh food.
