So much about this hotel is great. The decor is attractive, the staff are pleasant and helpful and the breakfasts are beautifully cooked and delicious.
BUT - lots of small and moderate sized things are not quite right. We were a family group staying at the hotel for a long weekend to go to a local wedding and in our group we had the following problems:-
A lavatory was not working for 2 out of 3 nights and the guests had to go down a flight of stairs to get to the nearest Ladies, one room had no hair dryer and it took the hotel 12 hours to locate a spare one, a basin did not have a plug that fitted, 2 showers flooded the area beside the bath, the 4 jets on one shower did not work, a wardrobe door had a broken handle, a waiter offered the cooked breakfasts that he was holding, to each table in turn before he found the people who had ordered and the next day the waitress failed to notice 2 guests who had come down for breakfast and did not bring drinks or menu for about 10 minutes.
However these things could all be sorted out with a bit of effort and good management and then it would be a lovely place to stay. In spite of all these little problems we enjoyed ourselves and each thing that was reported was dealt with sympathetically!

We stayed last Saturday in one of the hotel's townhouses and were very disappointed. We had booked this to share with friends whilst attending an event at the University.

We were taken across the car park to the other side of the road and shown in to the townhouse. Immediately greeted with a moldy smell in the downstairs. The only useful feature of this floor was a small toilet which had no soap or towel. All carpets were stained and dirty.

Middle floor has a kitchen/living room. The living room is sad and broken with bits missing from the furniture and the blinds.

Upstairs it got slightly better and was quite modern with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken and the blinds barely worked.

Breakfast was OK but a few things were missing from our plates without any explanation and service was slow.

I was frankly embarrassed to have booked this for friends and now have very possible bed bug bites.

Always enjoy staying at the Adamo. Top quality rooms. Clean, fresh and tidy. Well appointed. Courteous staff. Have eaten both evening meals and breakfast here, consistently excellent quality with prompt friendly service.

Really like the Adamo. It's got a great bar and big screen to watch the golf. Food is good and very central in the village..team always very helpful.nice outside area and always tidy. Tend to meet friends there and they also have cocktail making facilities which are fun and sought after.

Went for a family meal with a number of us staying over . Firstly the staff were friendly on check in and the room was facing the Main Street and nicely decorated. The meal we had was excellent with home made Pea and ham hock soup being the highlight. Much improved experience since last time we visited ! Will be going back

The wi-fi doesn't work in the rooms, which are small and poorly laid out but worst of all there is a night club in the hotel and the banging music means you can forget about any sleep - surely the only real reason for staying in a hotel. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at! AVOID!

Fantastic fun. The equipment, ingredients and method was explained. There was a demonstration of the French Martini and then we made one ourselves...and drank it! Next was one of the hotel's own cocktails a Perfect Passion, which also tasted great. Many thanks for a great night and providing non-alcholic alternatives for the driver!!
