“Best restaurant in Bridge of Allan”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

Been to this restaurant more times than I can count! Staff are friendly and accomidating. There is a lovely bar too if you have to wait for a table. The food is great and most importantly value for money. I particularly like the starter platter and there are always interesting specials like burger night ( checkout their facebook for deals etc) Lovely views of the castle from the conservatory to sit and have a glass of wine too!

“lovely surroundings, pleasant staff, amatureish disappointing food”
Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

Had to wait 15 mins for table that had been booked in advance. Told to have a seat in hall and someone would come and take our drink order, no one did. On complaining told they don't do table service in bar area. Had mussels for starters, no finger bowls, another member of our party of five had pork belly, disgusting, almost inedible. Had beef medallions, cooked well but pepper sauce tasted like a bottle of pepper had been dropped in it. This spoiled the beef and again made it practically inedible, had to try my best to scrape it off. Partner had venison which was very tough and sauce was congealed and unpleasant. Kids had beef burgers which were burnt and they refusef to eat them but ate the bun instead.Mascarpone cheesecake and ice creams and sorbets
were quite nice. With 4 glasses of house red and four soft drinks bill came to one hundred and fifty pounds including tip. Very disappointing experience. Would never go back and have already advised friends not to go near.

“Birthday Celebration”
Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

My daughter in laws Birthday was a delight . Wonderful meals, food was excellent, mixed party of adults and children and experience was made enjoyable with caring and attentive staff. Ambience made our meal and time there a pleasure. Hope to be visitors regularly now. Just one tiny detail re children .... Sprinkles and treats for children's ice cream desserts will make a huge impact for returning families with small children but overall wonderful experience
