Very nice resort that caters to motorcycles and motorcyclist. The owners treat you like a member of the family. We stayed in one of the cabins $55 per night for 2 people, yes not $55 per person but $55 for two people. Nothing fancy but it's a nice place to sleep while you ride the wonderful twisty roads just outside of their entrance. The Dragon and the Foothills Parkway are both less than 15 minutes away. The cabin has 2 beds with a fridge, shower, microwave and coffee maker. The air conditioner kept the cabin ice cold which is the way I love to sleep. The owners who are better described as "Your Personal Hosts" Jody and Sherri constantly go out of their way to make sure everything is just right for your visit. They give out maps and they'll mark them up with routes that are a little less traveled but as good as any you'll find on the regular maps. The best thing about these recommended roads is that there is hardly any traffic on them. Every night there is a real "homemade" dinner depending on what Sherri is cooking. Our group rode too far one day and decided to stay the night in Asheville instead of going back to the resort, Jodi and Sherri made all kinds of calls to try and find us. They were worried we may have had trouble or even worse. We got a well deserved scolding when we got back the next day. It made us feel good somebody was watching out for us. Punkin Center is somewhere we'll go back to and recommend to our friends.
