Looks a bit unappealing but quite a lot of people eating. We were told what was off the menu (we were quite late for lunch) which always encourages me as it shows that food is fresh. We chose haddock and the chef came out to us and asked if we would have sole instead. It was gorgeous! My husband had steak pie which he loved as the steak was lean, tasty and well cooked. All three of us had pudding. Very delicious!
We would definitely return. The staff were efficient and friendly. The other good thing was that they would sell any wine off the menu, by the glass.

Visited Girvan with the family recently and decided to pop into the Harbour Head for some lunch.
Great little place, only one waitress serving at the time as it was very quiet but she couldn't have been more helpful or attentive!
The food was fantastic, everything tasted so fresh and the portions were very generous while the value for money was excellent!
Wouldn't hesitate to return!

This chef owned restaurant goes that extra mile. The food is freshly cooked and beautifully presented. We visited twice during our Scottish holiday, and both times were personally served by the chef, who discussd food options. I have serveral food allergies and he produced a new dish especially for me. It was sole stuffed with smoked salmon, drizzled with honey and balsamic, with shell on prawns as a garnish. The vegetables were also adapted, and delicious. The rest of our party also had wonderful meals. A truely great find, Thank you Harbourhead.

Six of us went to Harbour Head for a birthday meal, the food presentation was excellent, every one said their food was very good. Also the puddings were to die for. Service was good although it wasn't very busy mid week so not sure how the service would be if it had been.

this is a smart little restaurant.. friendly staff.. we only popped in for a cuppa. I was tempted by the lovely strawberry tart and himself by the apple tart. They were about to close and as we were with a bus tour and nowhere elso open, they kindly stayed open, lost their break and served all the folk wanting a cuppa... A nice gesture... it looks a lovely menu.. and would like to try a meal there...
