“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed May 8, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Wonderful cottage close to beach and town centre but in a lovely quiet street.
Very comfortable for all ages in our case 10 to 89 !
Well equipped kitchen and bathroom with all mod cons and the outside space gave somewhere for the children to play.
We will be back !

“Convenient location, comfortable cottage.”
Reviewed April 10, 2018 for a stay in January 2018

Great location close to the beach, train station and town centre for restaurants and pubs. We use as a base for traveling while on extended stays.
Troon has lots of community events, music nights and concerts. Good varied
restuarants from cafes, pub food, high end food and family friendly places.
It is good to have a comfy place to come home to at the end of a day of sightseeing.
Cottage is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washer etc and we had everything we needed to prepare our own meals which was welcome after a few nights of eating out. We have had few things go wrong and each time the owner
had the issues dealt with quickly, a simple email was all it took and we had a reply. We have visited the cottage for a few years, enjoy the area and the enjoyment of of being in a seaside town, we love walking the beach as often as possible and it always feels good to come back to a comfy bed and cozy living room at the end of the day.

“Poor”
Reviewed January 27, 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Kerb appeal; NONE. Rusty old gates that don't work. Overgrown plants that cath the car. Porch door that don't lock (brick to keep it closed) Kitchen that was to cold to sit and eat meals (no heating at all) Bathroom paper hanging off, curtains were filthy, shower was mouldy. As for the Christmas tree!! well it was14 inch high and half the lights not working. Would have been better left in cupboard. The rear garden was overgrown with rusty old wheel barrow let to rust. Not safe to leave your dog on its own for fear of him getting cut on some old plant pots left out. This is the worst cottage we have stayed in at Christmas.

While it is disappointing to receive such a poor review after 5 years of exclusively 5 star (+ one 4 star) ratings we are pleased to have our attention drawn to these items no matter how pedantic or innacurate we feel they may be; the guest is always right in our eyes and it motivates us to ensure that our high standards, which this review is not reflective of, are maintained. I will address immediately the issue with the curtains, thanks for pointing that out to me. The issue of compromised safety for a pet is obviously a very serious claim to make after years of happy dog owners visiting us and therefore I will remove the dangerous plant pots at once.

“Troon vacation”

Great location close to long sandy beach, very clean and tidy when we arrived. Close enough to shops and plenty of takeaway’s that deliver.

“PERFECT GETAWAY”
Reviewed December 17, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Ideally located in Troon close to the sea and amenities - yet in a tranquil avenue. Spacious and well appointed. Ideal for both short or longer stays.
