“Fish and Chiptastic!!!!”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Took drive from Glasgow to Troon today, as weather was superb for drive 'doon the coast'
Tried this takeaway, as so many people have commented on it.
We both tried Haddock and Chips - Freshly cooked with lemon and dip to go with suppers.
Superb.................Will be back!!!

“Fresh and tasty fish”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

Had heard about this little place at the end of Troon harbor, from friends. If you don't mind a long wait, then highly recommend for made-to-order, fresh tasting, quality fish choices; including lobster, and sea bass in beer batter - which I had and highly recommend! There were three of us and we ended up sitting in our car and eating it - unfortunately, we missed the good weather spell, so the outside table was NOT an option!

“good find with excellent views”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

Was told about this fish and chip shop by local people who weren't wrong. Different types of fish on the menu for a chippie. I had friso miso, husband had sea bass and daughter had scampi. All freshly caught and cooked for us. I am not a lover of chips so just took a few from others but after trying theirs wished i had had some. Excellent views looking across Troon harbour. Also has a fish shop attached were we brought a crab and langustines ready cooked. will definately go back when in the area.

“Scampi + Chips - Freshest and best cooked”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

Fresh scampi tails, peeled in-house, lightly battered and served with chips - all of it tasted superb. Repeat visit for us and they do this dish consistently well. This scampi is like no other you will get in a Scottish fish and chippie. In fact it is of a better quality than you will get in many very expensive restaurants.

Don't know what variety of potatoes they use but they have real flavour - not those cheap and tasteless white potatoes you get in the discount shops.

Plenty of other chippies in the West of Scotland but if you want a sausage supper or a burger and chips go elsewhere - these chaps specialise in fresh fish (and seafood). Sole goujons are prepared in front of you from fresh fish - not some factory processed scraps hidden in a heavy duty coating.

“Best chippy in Scotland.”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

Great, but watch out because one take away can easily do two folk as they are so large. Quality is excellent. You have to wait ten minutes or so, because everything is cooked fresh.
