“Fabulous Sunday Scones”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Stopped off here for a coffee and Sunday afternoon scones. sat in the pool table conservatory area- a bit bare but comfy sofas. Easy parking, good service and fabulous scones with cream and jam! Great place to stop off on a Sunday drive through Ross-shire If you're looking for great photographs too, there are some Highland cattle just begging to be snapped, near the car park!

We stopped here for lunch after really amazing drive through Glen Torridon - what a beautiful place!
It was fairly quiet and the bar is quite strange architecturally and somehow not an inviting place to sit and eat - would be nice for a drink though and they had some big tables which would be good for a large groups. We were offered to sit in the restaurant which was bright and airy and had a wonderful view down to Loch Torridon.
We both had a local ale and ordered probably the best eggs benedict (but with salmon) I've ever tasted. It was pretty pricey for a small plate (£7.50 for a single egg and half a muffin) but so eggspertly cooked I'd go back any time. The hollandaise was delightful, the salmon good quality and the poached egg cook perfectly. We weren't stopping long so just had the egg and a very reasonably priced chocolate bar on the way out!

“Mediocre and noisy venue”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We at there twice - an evening and a lunch (there's not much else around). It markets itself as providing gastropub fare but it wasn't up to much. We were put at a table next to a large noisy party - not fun. A second time we had sandwiches at lunchtime which were again very mediocre and we didn't finish them.

“Great food and friendly staff”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Loved the mussels and the scallops. Very busy place i would say remember to book a table to avoid being disappointed. You can sit in the bar and eat though. Good menu and a kids menu if your after one. My kids loved the scampi tails.
