Good lunch menu. I was surprised that it was getting ready to close at 3:30 PM. Still, nice service and good lunch. It looked as though a number of locals eat there daily.

Based on reviews of this cafe - and from Canada so not familiar with Tain eateries - we went here for lunch and were certainly not disappointed! We both chose the "all day breakfast" which was all freshly prepared - I could watch the chef from my table! For a very reasonable price the plateful included: Sausage x2, back bacon, 2 eggs, black pudding, haggis, beans, mushrooms, tomato, tattie scone and toast! Great stuff, pleasant staff and highly recommended!

Whilst staying in the area, we looked for a nice cafe offering lunch. We were recommended The Sunflower Cafe, and it didn't disapoint. We both has toasties, which were freshly made and came with salad and coleslaw. Whilst the cake selection was inviting too, we resisted. Good value for money, with friendly staff. Would visit again!

We can't speak highly enough of this great place to eat good, well-cooked food served up on hot plates. The owner-chef so obviously cares about the way he presents each plate to his diners. Wonderful old-fashioned taste-good food and lots of variety too. He will also cook to order, outside of the menu too. Very good value for money as well.
