“Superb Gluten Free home produce”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

After a day walking in the hills above Strathpeffer, we found this little gem in Strathpeffer. Situated in the main street opposite the Ben Wyvis Hotel, it is clean, bright with a good selection of light refreshments. The great joy was that they do an excellent range of gluten free cakes and bread. This was not advertised ( but maybe is now following our conversation with the owner!), but we were soon advised that gluten free homemade bread was available with the soup or for sandwiches. This was superb bread, equally, the tray bakes and scones after were of high quality - have never had such good GF home baked scones. Compliments to the proprietor's wife who has taken the trouble to provide an amazing selection and quality of GF foods - greatly appreciated. They really should advertise these more. A HUGE WELL DONE! We shall return when next visiting Ross-Shire!

“Good food in a little place!”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

We took 2 sandwiches and it was amazing, after this 1 brownie and a oece of cake, and after it 2 capuchinos. Everything was around 25 pounds. I think is a great value for money. Maybe the girl behind the bar can be nicer and smiling but the food and the place were very good

“Way better than most coffee shops in the area”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

If you appreciate quality food you'll love this place.

The cakes are brilliant and freshly home baked. I love the pecan pie but the parsnip cake is pretty good too.

The food menu is quite interesting and the side salads are lovely, inventive and colourful.

Mackenzies' whisky collection is full of unusual ones I've never seen anywhere else and just the present for someone who appreciates a good malt.

“Good Food, good prices”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

We had a lunchtime snack here twice while staying in the town and we were really satisfied after our bowls of homemade soup and herb scones. The leek and potato soup was excellent. The service is really friendly and the selection of whisky on display worth looking at as well as hearing the wealth of information about them from the owner
