Busy little place. only had an ice cream (raspberry) which was delicious. Cakes looked yummy too, but manged to resist. Quiet spot with seats outside and nice view.

We blew in through the door of Nanny's last week when we were caught in a severe weather warning storm in Shieldaig.

I will be honest, it's fairly unprepossessing from the outside - a wee tin shack with steamed up windows, but it is just WONDEFUL when you are on the inside. We had a bowl of delicious hot soup and some oatcakes and cheese and a good yarn to the owner, Louise who was friendly warm and lovely to our little toddler.

Just the kind of place that's great to happen upon when you are on hols, a real gem.

Just a pleasant surprise to find this wee coffee shop which used to be the village store & apparently, has great plans for improvements for 2013. Good luck to them, they deserve it!

I stopped in at Nanny's for a bit of light breakfast before continuing on my cycling holiday of the North West of Scotland. I was treated to a fantastic Latte coffee, and a round of homemade fruit scones, complete with a large pot of homemade jam - so I could pile as much as I liked on; much better than those little plastic containers. Had a bit of a chat with the friendly and cheerful proprietor, and all in all it was a great start to to day.
