The chalet is located in a central area of Scotland and therefore great to arrange day trips from. The chalet is cosy and has comfortable chairs and a nice couch. The bedrooms are fine and the kitchen has all the utensils you need. It's not super modern but definitely will meet all your basic needs. The bathroom is very minimal.
During our stay Wi-Fi was out on several occasions which can be inconvenient for arranging your day trips.
We had a great stay and would definitely recommend staying at this chalet.
What a fantastic holiday retreat. Wife and I spent 5 nights on the site over Easter and every day was magical. The Owners, Martyn and Deborah have done the site proud and Jason the site Supervisor was a great help and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he helped us after the first night when the temperature dropped below zero by giving us a duvet, as the sleeping bags I bought were rubbish.
Overall if you want a quiet peaceful break away from it "All" then this is the place to go. Plenty of local walks and fishing for free on the site which is a bonus. Plenty of Salmon showing but non took our bait.
Karen and I booked a chalet at Riverside to use as a base to tour the Highlands for a week on our motorcycles. The location was very easy to find and in a beautiful and perfect place for us to do our planned day trips. The owners warmly welcomed us and they were most helpful with our queries and concerns that everything was okay for us. The 2 bedroom chalet that we rented was immaculately clean and well equipped with quality furnishings and every kitchen utensil that we needed. The shower room had clearly been fully refurbished and the chalet freshly decorated throughout. There was virtually no noise and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evenings just listening to the silence. The site is situated close to a river and is very picturesque. Electric Heating was available but as our stay was during a heat wave we had no need to use it but it was there if required. There is a very well stocked on site shop with long opening hours and there is also a 24 Hour Tesco Store only 7 miles or 10 minutes drive away in Dingwall. The location of Riverside is absolutely perfect for doing various day trips and getting back in the evenings to relax. We rode to John o' groats and back in a day with plenty of stops and the scenery especially on the west coast from Ullapool all the way up to Durness is without doubt the finest Scotland has to offer. We can honestly give Riverside 10 out of 10 for everything and the personal touch from the owners was the icing on the cake. We will definitely have our 2016 holiday at Riverside which we are already looking forward to.
