“Excellent food in great loaction.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

The journey to Applecross is spectacular and at the far end of Applecross is the Inn. It is right on the waterside looking across to Skye. The selection of food is amazing and of excellent quality. Locally brewed beers, lots of seafood and huge choice of other dishes.

“Wish we had known this place was here.”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

After an exciting trip over the famous pass we arrived at Applecross. Before setting off we had tried to get a coffee and cakes in Lochcarron after visiting Stromme Castle. Putting it simply Lochcarron was closed, even the public toilets close for the winter! However fortunately the excellent local store was open so we bought some drinks and snacks before setting off on our adventure. The journey was all that we expected steep inclines, hairpin bends and if it hadn't been for the clouds I am sure spectacular views. We arrived in Applecross in time for tea and after our earlier experiences we hadn't got our hopes up. How wrong could we be, like an oasis we stumbled across the Applecross Inn. We received a warm welcome and could not believe the menu choice. Unfortunately by this time we had neither the appetite nor time to stop for more than a hot drink and snacks, but nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait until I am up in the Highlands again will definitely make the trip just to try out the menu.

“Fab atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service”
Reviewed October 26, 2012 via mobile

Great place to go if you fancy tasty food, good pint of ale and spending an evening in friendly atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and service is first class. This is definitely the pub to go to if you are spending a night in the area.

“There is no-where else.”

Getting there is half the fun. Look on a map. They could serve anything and people would still return for the journey and the view.
What you get is amazing, incredible, fresh, gorgeous michelin star quality food served in a relaxed friendly way. Sit outside, take a flag not a number (neat touch) and enjoy the views while you eat.
Squat lobster in sweet chilli sauce, possibly the best seafood dish on the planet. Things to do before you die? Go to Applecross.
