This is an amazing small hotel in an stunning location. The remote location is part of the attraction. The last 12 miles over the "pass of the cattle" is one of the most amazing roads I have driven on. There are friendly smiles from staff and fellow guests from the minute you arrive. Registration form is filled in at your leisure in your room.We had 3 meals there and all were superb . Large choice from the blackboard and very prompt service.Room is fresh and cosy.
Visit Monty Halls but and ben about two miles north.Small sandy beach and views to die for.An excellent place to escape the bad news that seems to fill the world at present. Great value ,so forget the credit crunch. We will certainly be back.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. Staff extremely knowledgeable about local area and made our stay in the Applecross In one to remember and we will be sure to repeat it.

The place itself has breath taking scenery and is like visiting a different world!

100% recommend.

Stayed at the Applecross Inn at least once a year, every year since 1998. Always found the staff polite, helpful and entertaining. I love my food and the food at the Applecross Inn takes some beating. Judith, the owner, and her staff have done everything within their power to give us a fantastic holiday. The countryside is outstanding. We have seen more otters than Bill Oddie. We are already booked in for 2009. I can't wait to get there. If anybody is looking for a relaxed, chill out holiday, with great food and guest beers, this is it.

We stayed at the Applecross in (our 1st visit) between the 11th and 13th October 2008.

Our en-suite room was a good size and was very clean.
We didn't miss not having a television in our room.

The view from the bedroom window was magnificent - across
to Raasay and Skye.

The food was excellent, especially the seafood.

Breakfast could be a bit slow, especially if there were many folk in from the campsite up the road, but it was worth waiting for.

The owner (Judith) was on holiday at the time of our visit, but the staff on duty during our visit were friendly and curteous.

The only downside was when a pet dog had an accident near where we were sitting in the bar/dining area, however we had finished eating by that time, and managed to see the funny side of it. I suppose that's a natural hazzard when pets are allowed - however a member of staff very quickly removed the offending objects and sanitised the area.

As keen walkers, there were plenty of walks in the area, which was great.

Now that we've discovered Applecross, we'll definitely return and look forward to staying in the Applecross Inn once again.

Spent four months up in Applecross building and commissioning the new water plant.Judy, Chris,Natalie and all the staff were all great and friendly.Had some great nights and then not so good mornings.......Dont get involved in drinking nights with the locals.....especially Judy.....Robert the chef at the time used to cook me specials after I had went round the menu a couple of times and to any people who give bad reviews because they have to share a table/ are crowded/its too noisy etc. etc. - I have worked all over the world and ate in 5 Star plus and famous establishments .Food simply doesnt get better than this .......
The Inn is what it is and doesnt try to be anything else - thankfully.
I havent managed to get back up since then but I will and I bet it wont have changed.....at least I hope not....

In spite of a very late arrival, Duncan and Kath gave us a friendly welcome and offer of a cuppa.
The house is a new build, with beautiful real wooden floors, the comfiest bed I've ever slept in, and a wet room en suite.
Duncan has a wealth of local knowledge for walkers, and Kath provides a tasty Scottish breakfast.
If I can pluck up the courage to tackle the Bealach na Ba again, I'll definitely return!
