Stayed here with friends last week. Accommodation was very basic - more like a B and B with hotel prices. Food was good
although they could do with menus rather than having to go and look at a blackboard. Owner very friendly and efficient but younger
bar staff in the evening were dour! Breakfast was good and staff were good.

It has a fantastic location but could do with a makeover.

Yes, at the end of a mountain road, with absolute great lanscapes you finally reach the sea. Just in front of it a cottage line starting from the applecross restaurant and B&B. We arrived tired from the daily trip and we were guested whit friendship and a smile. The room was ok (no tv but this is not a fault!!) the dinner superb (we had langoustines, crab and lobster) and overall a very convenient price/performance ratio.
In a word it is forbidden not to stay there. Thank you
Note that you do no t have mobile telephone coverage there

The Applecross Inn is not to be missed. Had dinner last night- Saturday 13th July. The Inn was mobbed, we waited approx half an hour for a table as it was too chilly to eat outside. The food was fantastic. My husband had fish and chips and I had the thai veg curry, which was so worth the wait. Service was excellent, friendly and the Inn had a great buzz about it. Cant wait to go back!!

There’s something magical about the name, Applecross and this very small village is well worth the trip – either across the mountain Bealach na Ba Road or round the coast road. The mountain road gives stunning views and the hairpin bends are a challenge for those who love driving! The thick fog towards the top added to the challenge. And the coast road would be a stunner on a sunny day.
The Applecross Inn was packed with a queue out the door when we arrived at about 1.30pm on a Monday afternoon in late May. But after a short wait, with a drink, we were seated. Our food was fresh and superb – local squat lobsters (shelled) in a lemony garlic oil with salad and a seafood pasta. The West Highland coastal areas certainly provide the traveller which fabulous local seafood choices.
The service was excellent – we were greeted immediately and were made to feel welcome. You felt you weren’t just another customer to them and even though they were very busy, our lunch felt very relaxing and not at all rushed.
The Inn exceeded my expectations in every way and I so wished we were staying there or nearby – unfortunately we weren’t. It was a memorable experience in every way.

We have stayed on several occasions at the Applecross Inn and it never fails to deliver. The seafood in particular is superb and generally very well priced. Great local real ale and a continual buzz about the bar add to the ambiance. The size of the rooms is constrained by the shape of the building and site although they provide good accommodation and generally a fantastic view across the bay towards Raasay. A great base for walking, climbing, kayaking, cycling or just strolling and relaxing, Judith runs a fine hostelry and is supported by great staff. We will be back!

Our friends had visited here many times before and had raved about the food and atmosphere; I'm so glad that our visits proved them right!

We ate here two nights in a row - both time the food was exceptional (especially prawns and mussels). One night we ate outside in the sunshine, the second we managed to secure a cosy table near the bar.

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable; the menu was interesting and varied, and overall prices were reasonable.

The pub is understandably always busy and they don't take bookings unless you're a resident at the adjoining B&B, however we never waited very long. It definitely is worth any waiting you may do.

I hope that we will have the chance to return again in the future.
