The Glenmoriston Arms Hotel is the only game in town for eating and drinking, but it is a very pleasant hostelry with a nice ambiance serving good food.
If the restaurant is busy and you have not booked, there is a small section of window tables at the front of the bar where you can eat from the same menu on a first come basis. This is a nice, relaxed area in which to eat, partially separated from the bar area itself, and I had some tomato and red pepper soup for lunch and returned for a game dinner of pigeon breast followed by venison and pork cassoulet, tasty, but a little light on the beans!
Met the second chef out on his mountain bike before his evening shift as I was walking in from Fort Augustus. It was a pleasure to chat to him and I very much enjoyed his food.
It may be the only game in town, but it's certainly a good game, and the game was good too!
