We were staying locally in a nearby B&B and decided to stay local for our supper. We arrived to a busy restuarant at 8pm on a Saturday night. I would say the menu was a bit limited in the main courses so opted for a chicken dish which was fine. Steak was ordered for my partner, medium done but arrived with blood on the plate and very, very pink when cut open. this to me was rare but now as time was nearly 9pm, my partner starving decided to keep it. I t was a very tasty steak non the less. It seemded to be the drinks that really got them stumped though, i asked for a Coke, through it came, after tasting it and deciding it was flat asked for another explaining why, through came another, flat again, i then asked for a fresh orange as they surely couldn't get this wrong, you just pour it of of the bottle, throught it came and guess what it was fizzy, by this time not sure whether to laugh or get angry summoned a more mature waitress explaing what was wrong. I told her it was fizzy, that fresh orange was flat and was a pale orange rather than the deeper orange of the fresh kind, off she set not actually believing what i was saying i rather think, to come back to tell me the gas was flat on the draught coke and they gave me lemonade in my orange. All in all not a very sucessful first to this establishment and when returning to the B&B at a later dat, which i might add got a brilliant review from us, will not be eating here !
