“Fantastic - Highly recomended”
Reviewed July 7, 2011

There are so many wonderful things to say about this place that it is difficult to know where to begin. I found the location perfect, close to attractions, yet not right in the middle of everything. The establishment is right on the banks of Loch Ness and the rooms have a beautiful view of the loch. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and guests are allowed to roam them. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and immaculate. Great attention is paid to detail. Next there is the food! Tea when you arrive (complete with cake and scones), and a delicious full breakfast every morning. All this being said, I would still have to say that the most truly remarkable aspect of this bed and breakfast would have to be the hosts, Ian and Catherine, who from the time you arrive do everything in their power to make your stay an absolute joy, and they are quite possibly the nicest people in the entire world. I don't recall ever being treated better any where. This place is truly phenomenal.

Location, location, location. This place can't be beat for the price. Right on the Loch Ness with a wonderful view, close to Inverness, hour or so from Ilske of Skye, Fort William. Hosts were delightful, room was more than elegant, garden was beautiful. We had a perfect stay there.

Room Tip: wifi in the lounge only, not in the room.

Thank you for your kind words and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We also enjoyed your company. Regarding the problem with the WiFi signal, we have a Network Range Extender which normally ensures a good signal in all rooms. However, on checking, the unit wasn't working. Why ?? Ian reset it and it is now up and running again and a good signal in all rooms. Thanks for the tip!

Warm friendly welcome on arrival with tea coffee and home baking, showed to emaculate accommodation by Catherine and Ian who could not do enough for us. Picture postcard view from our bedroom window with 4 acres of the most wonderful garden to stroll about in. If the hosts were not their to show us round the garden then the dog was. Walking distance to Invermoriston and only a short drive to Fort Augustus which the hosts willingly offered to transort us. For a relaxing get away break this place hit all the spots, and is also a walkers paradise. Absolutely wonderful stay and will be back to sample some more home baking. THANKS

Room Tip: All rooms are exceptional

Imagine waking up on the shore of Loch Ness! What a wonderful B&B. Tigh Na Bruach is located directly on the shores of Loch Ness. There are three guest suites - each are en suite and have a patio that opens to the most wonderful loch views. Everything you could possibly need is provided from house robes - to walking sticks.
Property itself is very large, with many paths leading down to the Loch. Along the paths are flowers, trees and wonderful garden decorations hidden amoungst the bushes. It was great fun to look for them.
Our hosts reviewed local places to see and restaurants for dinner.
Breakfast was made to order - and delicious.
Everything about our stay was just delightful. One of the other guests commented - you could not ask for more - and she was so correct.

From our warm welcome as we arrived, to the elegant rooms overlooking Loch Ness, to the most amazing breakfast to the travel tips upon our departure. This is HANDS DOWN - THE BEST B&B!
I can not speak highly enough about Tigh Na Bruach! One of only a few located right on the banks of Loch Ness! The hosts were extremely friendly! We were welcomed with tea & homemade scones with homemade Jam and made sure we were comfortable, but gave us our own space to relax & enjoy the surrounding areas. The rooms were large & elegantly decorated with their own ensuite. The rooms also had large patio doors opening onto your own private terrace right on Loch Ness. We were extremely lucky with the weather and sat out their all evening enjoying the quiet surroundings & scenery! The surrounding woodland offered some very pleasant walks along the Loch Ness into Invermoriston Village. We started our day with a plentiful full Scottish Breakfast made from fresh local produce which was to die for! The hosts were very helpful with advice on things to do & see in the area and the highlands which we toughly enjoyed.
I've stayed in a few B&B's around the UK & Europe and this one is HANDS DOWN - THE BEST B&B! 11 out of 10!

My wife and I went on our honeymoon here. We came by public transport, and our hosts insisted on picking us up from the bus stop. The entire 3-day stay was lovely, the room was splendid and the breakfast (way to much, but) fantastic and very tasty!

Now, I gave 4 stars instead of five on two occasions, which are very relative to my personal situation. I would like to explain this, because I think others might just as easily give 5 stars instead.
-Location: Catherine warned us to bring our own car, and she was right. But even with only public transport at your disposal, it is still not to difficult to get there and find your way around the place. Furthermore, our hosts went out of their way to facilitate us by picking us up or dropping us of when possible. So the stars only reflect location, transportation-wise! The actual location, views/scenery was, as I said, breathtaking and 10 stars if that was possible!
-Sleep quality: The beds were very comfortable. But I am 1.93 cm, which gives me some disadvantage most of the time when it comes to beds in a hotel or B&B which are generally 2.00 cm. That said, my wife slept like an angel. Again most people will definitely not have a problem here and will (must) give 5 stars here as well.

On a more personal note: Catherine and Ian, you're both great and thank you for making us feel so welcome!

We both had a wonderful time at Catherine and Ians they are so lovely and made us so welcome. The room was gorgeous with so many lovely touches by Catherine and had everything you could want and more. To wake up to the view of Lochness, hear the birds and see the sun rise made you want to go outside the minute you woke. Wandering around the garden and playing with Rowen the dog was a joy. We had some lovely meals in St Augustus, visited the Mill shop and walked along the canal. Thankyou.
