Firstly, the correct name of this business is "Glen Rowan licensed Cafe and Coffee shop" and it does exactly what it says on the tin!!
From the outside this just looks like yet another roadside cafe. However, the interior is light and airy and there is a good range of food on offer from home made cakes and pastries to a choice of freshly cooked full meals. We called early one afternoon for a light lunch and were met with a warm welcome, good service and freshly prepared food of good quality. The place was empty when we arrived but was almost full by the time we left and I would imagine that keeping up the service levels when a lot of people arrive at once will be impossible.
There is extensive outside seating but with the vagaries of the Scottish weather, the chances of utilising it must be limited.
The couple who run this must rely heavily on tourism and the passing trade and in my opinion they have pitched things just right as it surely has something to suit just about anybody's tastes and requirements.
