Great place to stay if you are looking for something quiet.
The superior studio is very comfy with all facilities provided.
In B&B, you can ask for your breakfast (the day before) in a basket. It will be provided in the evening. What a pleasure to have your breakfast in the room.
The village is quite small, there is a pub/restaurant nearby (Glenmoriston arms) where the food is of good quality (booking advised). You can also find a little store for the basic stuffs...
The hosts are very friendly and ready to help. They gently switched on the hob/oven (we were in B&B so it was disabled) at 8.30pm without any problem when we noticed it was not enabled.
Would recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: - Superior room has its own bathroom (shower) and kitchen (with oven) - If you choose the B&B o...

This is would be an excellent stop if walking the Great Glen Way or if on a modest budget and exploring the area. The accommodation is on the way and a short stroll from the amenities of the small village of Invermoriston, including the very good Glenmoriston Hotel and the very picturesque old bridge. This is a great place for walkers and families no doubt and the studios are a great place to stay - a cross between self catering the advantage of a B&B (if choosing that option). The apartment I stayed in was spotless and very well appointed and equipped, especially if doing some self catering. The owners were friendly and very helpful. The other reviews say it all really, but very highly recommended as a stop when walking the Great Glen Way.

This was a great place to visit the location was perfect and the facilities themselves were excellent. The rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities. the decor in the room is pristine and is kept up to a VERY high standard. It was so good we thought it was a newly renovated facility. The owners was friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was yummy. There is parking available for each studio. I really have no criticisms.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lann Dearg to any traveller.

Room Tip: There are 2 ground floor studios and 1 first floor studio. If you want a view stay on the first floo...

Just spent three nights here in. Superior studio. Loved it. The studio was spotless - had everything needed to make meals, and handy to the village centre for drinks or a meal out. Would highly recommended it, but bring midge repellent. Like everywhere else in Scotland this time of year, you'll get eaten alive!

Thanks for this review and pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. To reassure potential guests, midges are indeed a feature of this time of year in the Highlands but our location is not as severe as some. Midge appearance depends on the weather most prevalent in damp conditions in the morning and evening. During the recent hot and dry weeks we didn't see them at all. They are not generally a problem indoors or if you keep moving such as walking.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the superior studio for two nights for his birthday. We could not fault it one bit! We took the bed and breakfast option and were not disappointed. There is an amazing selection for your breakfast and Val is very attentive. The information in the studio about walks and what there is to do within the area is amazing (even rainy day actives are listed) luckily we had amazing weather for our trip! We went to Urquhart Castle which was truly remarkable and a must see! We can not fault the accommodation, Val and Patrick are very welcoming and maintain the studios very well. We will be back!

We only stayed one night and wished we had stayed longer. The room was excellent and more spacious than some others we had stayed at recently. The breakfast was first class but what most impressed us was the attention to detail - not just A4 sheets detailing walks and drives in the area but also small but important things like booking bus tickets in advance to avoid not being let on the bus if the driver thinks it will be full! Make sure you walk into Invermoriston past the waterfall and down to the Summer House

We stayed here for only two nights, but we regret we didn't book any more nights. This is the perfect spot to visit the area (Fort Augustus, Fort William, Inverness, ...). We had the sudio on the first floor and the view is amazing. Large room with handy kitchen and clean bathroom.

The owners made an effort to file leaflets from the area into different categories, so you can easily find what you are looking for.
