“An Impressive Cascade”
Reviewed October 25, 2011

Excellent access on a path marked with excerpts from a Burns poem about the falls leading an upper and lower viewing point. We saw them in October in full spate, and they were impressive with noise and spray beyond anything else we've seen in Scotland and a beautiful gorge setting.

“Amazing waterfall, Even Robert Burns was inspired here.”
Reviewed September 10, 2011

This place was great, and to think I almost missed it. Mainly because I used some of the smaller country roads that day when i was out on the motorbike. However its easy to get to from loch ness and from the roads on that side. Anyway you can park up near the post office and small cafe (I did not go in so no idea what it is like) and the start of the falls walk is on the opposite side of the road. There are a few viewing points in this area looking out and over to loch ness, some very nice views. There are also info boards about the falls and the history of Foyers, that are very interesting. You can have a seat here or start walking. There is a long walk that i would have loved to go on however it was to warm with all my motorbike gear, so just decided to go see the waterfall. As I say Robert burns visited here in 1787 and was inspired to write a Poem, and on the walk down the poem can be read on stones as you progress. The walk is not that bad and most people will be comfortable with it. There are two viewing points and its worth making your way to the lower one as well. What can I say, the waterfall is amazing and I can see why burns was inspired. This place is well worth a visit if you are in the loch ness area.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed August 3, 2011

We stopped off here on a day trip around Loch Ness. There are 3 routes down to the falls - we opted for the quick route - this was steep so walking boots or trainers are advisable (it had rained earlier in the day so it was very slippery). The falls are spectacular for the UK, if you have been to Victoria Falls I am sure you would be disappointed!. There is limited parking space and the facilities are a cafe and a toilet.
