Lovely clean modern and bright exhibition with gift shop.
Very interesting an answers all those question about the Caledonian Canal that are going through your mind such as "who designed it ?" and "how was it done?"
Lots of classy items in the gift shop.
I was tickled pink with my Harris Tweed Kindle cover!

Thank Janet G

Nice walks around the canal and lovely village with some nice shops and little snacks. Very easy to take a bus to go either to Inverness or to Fort William.

Completely free and very informative. Only open until 5.30 though so if, like me, you went to fort augustus in the evening you need to go slightly earlier one afternoon!

Very informative. It was good to find out about the history of the canal and when/how it was built.

Nothing to dislike.

Go here to learn more about the blood sweat and tears that went into transforming the designers vision and imagination into one of the greatest engineering feats in history. A real eye opener and humbling to imagine those guys that dug the canal and lived in tents and other makeshift shelters as they traversed an inhospitable terrain
