The Lovat is a very comfortable hotel to stay in the picturesque village of Fort Augustus. On arrival, friendly reception from staff.
Bedroom was a luxurious twin room with comfortable beds and no less than 3 towels per person.
Breakfast in morning was very much enjoyed.
Briony was particularly helpful during our stay.
I could find no faults with our stay. The Lovat should be booked if you want some good rest and relaxation in a lovely location on the shores of Loch Ness.

We booked a stay here at the last minute and were very impressed with the hotel. In terms of style and comfort, it was first class and the staff, especially Julia were very friendly and attentive. The food was divine and you can see their 2 Rossettes are well deserved. We had beautiful walks around Loch Ness and Fort Augustus itself is a pretty town with the Caledonian canal locks an added attraction. We hope to go back later in the year and stay longer next time.

Room Tip: pay a little extra to upgrade- our bathroom was the size of most double rooms!

If you're travelling through Scotland, Fort Augustus is certainly worth a visit and the Lovat is definitely somewhere you should stay!

Check in was very easy and we we're offered a tour of our room upon check in. The room has plenty of character and included a seperate study area in between the bedroom and bathroom, plenty of room!

The internet was free and avaliable via Cat5 which reception was nice enough to lend to me as I didn't have any cable close to hand.

Fort Augustus is really quite a small town and everything was within quite easy walking distance from it, we enjoyed some really nice meals in the pub down the road.

The Breakfast provided by the Lovat is hearty as they come and easily tailored for Vegetarian tastes, the Tattie scones were brilliant!

Stayed for one night and was truly fab. The staff were a pleasure and nothing was a bother, the room was huge and spotlessly clean. The extra touches were very much appreciated such as two home made cookies when checking out for our journey ahead.
