“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed June 19, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment, especially the view to the quadrangle court. The apartment is very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. Next time, we have to stay for a longer period of time!

“Spacious luxury close to all amenities”
Reviewed May 22, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The apartment is in a wonderful old Abbey school on the very edge of Loch Ness, in beautiful grounds offering quiet parkland, tennis and badminton. Within a two minute walk there is the Caledonian canal which runs through the little town, offering hostelries and the entertainment of boat -watching as they navigate the locks. There are lovely walks along the tow path and a local mini -market which is well -stocked. The apartment is light and airy with large rooms and beautiful lounge windows over the cloisters and a garden chess set. Visitors have use of the pool, sauna, steam room and games like snooker and table football, so a wet day is never a disaster. There are two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is ideal for a family with two children or for two couples. The utensils and amenities are in pristine condition and well-organised. We were lucky enough to have glorious sunshine all week and relaxed on the lock side with a cool drink, or had picnics near local waterfalls, visited Skye, Fort William, the Oban distillery and Culloden battle site as well as seeing panoramic mountain views from the cable car in the Nevis range. We cooked in and ate out. A Tesco shop and drop is available. Altogether, a beautiful holiday in a lovely place.

“Highlads HQ”
Reviewed May 19, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

If you're going to visit the Highlands then this could not be a more appropriate location for your stay. Inverness, Fort William, Cairngorm and Skye are all within an easy driving distance.

As for the accommodation, well this place really is second to none. The facilities are excellent and there are plenty of things to do for the children. Perfectly clean and furnished well, one must not forget to use the pool (book the night before), or catch a cheeky 5k run along the Caledonian Canal.

The scenery is resplendent, serene and breathtaking. Turn immediately left out of the gates and drive for a few miles for some heavenly views. Fort Augustus has everything you need including the most hospitable "Lock Inn" which has excellent food, ales and a decent selection of malts.

“Beautiful apartment”
Reviewed February 17, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

This apartment is beautiful, really nice and bright and spacious. It has everything you need, furnishings are lovely and comfortable. The apartment is one floor up and has lovely views of the chess board in the centre of the Abbey.

I would definitely recommend this apartment; its also very reasonably priced for its size.

“Exceptional Property”
Reviewed October 23, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We loved our stay at Old School No. 11. The flat is certainly 5 star and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect for touring around the highlands. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the property more. We visit Scotland almost every year and each trip includes a tour of the highlands. Old School No.11 is, by far, the best accommodation we have stayed in yet and I expect that it will be our location of choice from now on.

Me and my family recently stayed in this apartment for 3 nights and we are repenting of not booking this place for another few more nights. We were made so comfortable and the rooms were immaculately clean and spacious with fantastic views. The building is very historic and has a lovely swimming pool and relaxing Spa & Sauna, lots of indoor & outdoor games were also made available. The breathtaking views of Loch ness just made our stay in this place more memorable. We spent one full day just to absorb this hotel and its amazing surroundings. If we ever plan for highland visit again then surely we would love to refresh our memories of this hotels.
