We stayed 5 nights at this B & B accommodation as we had planned only three days. We felt ourselves at home, and Anne was the perfect hostess : always friendly, busy and asking if everything was fine.
We had a spacious and spotless room with a huge shower.
Although our knowledge of English is limited, we had a nice chat with Anne every time we saw her.
The breakfast was always really nice and Anne filled all our needs.
What is an asset : the accommodation is within walking distance from the lovely Fort Augustus where there are enough pubs and restaurants (Anne gave us sufficient information about it).
Fort August itself is a great base to visit some parts of the beautiful Scotland and we drove from there for example to Skye, Oban and Ullapool.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was very clean, welcoming, excellent value for money, breakfast with plenty of choice and variety as well as timing to suit you. It is on the edge of the village but my wife has mobility problems and managed to walk it several times without a problem. Lounge was lovely and TV in there always available. Anne even came round and put the heating on if you were sitting in there.
You can find fault with anywhere if you want to but you would have to be very choosy to find fault with this place. I think you would find it difficult to find better value.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone wishing to stay in the Fort Augustus area. We received a very friendly welcome from Anne. The room was spotless, comfortable and the shower was great. Our breakfast was excellent with good choices available.
We will be back.

Carn A Chuilinn B/B. Recently we stay at this B/B for 2 nights 23/24th Junat the start of our holidays in Scotland. We were delighted that we picked here to stay. Our room was spotless and
very comfortable and no complaints about the food. When we arrived after a long drive we were offered tea & biscuits and it was nice to relax and chat to the owner.
We were delighted not to have seen the review of the other family. We don't know what
they were complaining about.
Would we recommend this Guest House to others? Yes. Will we be back Yes hopefully.
It was a great start to our holiday in Scotland. Worthy of 4 Stars.

Although located on the outskirts of Fort Augustus, this B&B is worth the inconvenience of a lengthy walk into town. The hostess is charming, the rooms (esp. the shower!) were fantastic and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Would return anytime!

My partner and I were on a cycling trip and loved our stay at Carn a Chuilinn.
Ann the owner was extremely friendly, the place was spotlessly clean and the bedroom we had was huge with lovely views over the hills. The shower was the most powerful one I have ever encountered - lovely for tired muscles after a day of cycling.
The bed and breakfast was just on the outskirts of Fort Augustus, a good 10 minute walk to the centre where there are few good restaurants. Ask Ann for recommendations.
All in all we had a great stay and if we are ever back in Fort Augustus we will stay there again.
Ps and I don’t know what the other family were complaining about, there was plenty for breakfast.

Carn a Chuillin

We have recently returned from a week’s stay at Carn a Chuillin guest house in Fort Augustus. This was our fifth visit in as many years and we stayed for our usual week. We were warmly welcomed as always and the hospitality was as good as ever.
The house is one of the best B&B’s we have ever stayed in – the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, with an excellent range of facilities. The breakfast every day was excellent. On our last morning, we requested a very early breakfast – 6.45am, so that we could leave to catch our flight from Glasgow and this was provided exactly as requested and on time with a cheerful attitude and the impression that this was not creating a problem.
The guest lounge was comfortable and available at all times.
Being only a short drive from the centre of Fort Augustus, we found the B&B was ideally suited for access to the pubs and restaurants.
We are already planning our 2009 visit!
