I found this place back in 2008 when travelling with friends from Spain and fell in love with it's charm! A beautifully converted church with very comfortable rooms and a service second to none!

Fiona's home-made shortbread is exceptional and her hospitality equally so. Fiona is very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great recommendations for dinner and glens to walk in. I have recommended this to many friends and look forward to my next visit. Very disappointed to see the poor comment from the biker gentleman!

This idyllic church turned B & B is nestled comfortably between the Loch Ness Lake attractions and downtown Inverness. We found the hosts to be quite friendly and able to help us navigate to some fine restaurants in the area. They have an entertainment room which we used to email, have tea and shortbread after supper. The rooms were clean, quite spacious, and the beds comfortable and warm. In the morning, we were greeted with the smells of a fantastic breakfast wafting up the stairway. We had more than enough delicious foods to suit our group's varied tastes. Our hosts stayed and chatted with us while we finished up breakfast and suggested travel routes to our 'tour guide' travelling companion.

In all truth, this was my first time going to a B & B and so I had nothing in particular to expect. In the end, I found that Glenkirk B & B was much better than staying in a hotel, especially for the cleanliness of it all. Hotels can be dirty places. The hosts were friendly, the rooms were cute, and the food tasty. Thank you Glenkirk!!

We booked this last-minute, and we are so happy that we did.

1. The place is absolutely adorable, well-converted, and well-appointed
2. Fiona is everything you could ask for in a B&B host--giving Inverness restaurant recommendations, travel route advice, and so warm and attentive during our fantastic breakfast!
3. Little thoughtful touches, like local soaps & lotions in the bathrooms, and a laptop with wifi to check your email or upload some pictures or blogs. You don't find that much at all in most B&B's, in my experience.

Lovely place, lovely memory, lovely addition to our trip! You won't be disappointed.

It is the best B&B ever. After the visit we wanted to move there because the floor, the bed, blankets and even the stairs were the softest thing on Earth - we wanted to push each other down the stairs :)
the location is great: it is not on the main road, but it is close to both Loch Ness & Glen Africa, and to the beautiful Urqhuart castle. The service tottaly suits the price. And the cream on the top are the hosts. Fiona and Ross are great, helpful and nice. Fiona is the great cook, and Ross is really cool (ross, thanks for the advice for the road back to Edinburgh - it was jumpy)
we will definitely come back!!!!

We had an excellent stay in the Glenkirk - I loved that it was in a converted church! It was very clean and comfortable, and a good location. I recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Loch Ness area

Stayed at Glenkirk for two nights whilst visiting Scotland. What a beautiful place to stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was a delight. An exceptional guest house, a credit to the owners. If eating out locally would recommend Fiddlers in the centre, great food.
