The house is better than other houses in Noch ness area. But there are no tea port, teabags, instead there are some house rules in the room and restroom. I feel it's uncomfortable. Moreover breakfast time is strict. However croissant is very good and the owners are kind.

This is a little gem of a place. Only 3 rooms to let in a former small church. Each room is supremely well organised and the bathrooms are gorgeous. On arrival at night the entrance was lit up by a mass of fairy lights and as you walk through the beautiful garden to the entrance the effect is entrancing. Very friendly hosts, lovely breakfasts, highly recommended. An added bonus was the guest living room with games, books, tea and coffee and tv where we spent some time while our daughter slept.

The place is obviously gorgeous from the outside, and inside it's a very charming, clean and well run B&B. Fiona made us feel very welcome and was very helpful with figuring out some details of our stay there. Breakfast is quite good - you must really try the oatcakes (with butter and honey): quite a surprising delight.

Very warm and friendly welcome. USP is that it's a converted church. Works done 25 years ago but you would never know. Fiona is very house proud and the place is immaculate. Breakfast is a bit limited in choice but very nice. The plumbing is a bit noisy as are the crows. Room 3 is furthest away from the guest TV lounge, ask for this if you want a quieter night. We thought this was a good place to stay and would stay here again.

Well-run B&B with an efficient landlady and her friendly husband. Basically a converted 19th century church with remnants of the church fittings still used in the renovated building. There's a pew too. The first floor where the rooms are is effectively a platform separating the rafters and the church floor. Nicely comfortable room with a warm ensuite bathroom. We had the third room towards the rear which appeared to be the largest of the three. All nicely decorated and there is a cosy sitting room upstairs with a nice view over the front yard, with TV, tea, etc. Perfect for relaxing and planning for the next day's travels after a long day. Breakfast was delicious based on orders noted the evening before. Locaton-wise it's within comfortable walking distance from the centre of the village.

Room Tip: Largest room is at the rear with a ncie batroom. One queen-size and a single bed.

No Hospitality tray or radio in room. Poor choice for cooked breakfast. The basics are overlooked.
Upon arrival Fiona gave a lengthy intro. speech about house rules and then commented that she had been closed prior to our arrival, due to a family wedding and that she would have not taken our booking had it not been for our 2 night request! The refreshments are in the guest lounge. Did NOT sample any shortbread as it did not look very appetising. There were 3 overbaked pieces sitting in 2 cm of old crumbs and sugar in a grubby-looking plastic container, for all to place their hands into. I wondered how old it was, considering Glenkirk had been closed. Equally the sugar container was as unattractive, containing lumps of coffee and wetted sugar, I did without it. Would expect hospitality tray, radio and hand towel (for each guest in room) for the price charged. WiFi is switched off until 8am. Old soap found in shower and dust on door sills. Could hear shower door closing and water running in neighbouring room. Disappointing breakfast (and not served before 8.30am). Fiona only offers bacon, sausage, egg and tomato. Grapefruit juice was refused by Fiona on BOTH mornings, even after submitting our requests the afternoons before. A footnote on menu requests that guests ask for anything that isn't provided - we asked for Grapefruit juice twice and were let down without an explanation!
A disappointing stay, sadly. Constuctive feedback to be recognised here. Glenkirk does not receive 100% perfect guest reviews. Always room for improvement.

Just so everyone is in the loop…. the above is the 2nd submitted somewhat watered down review by this person, having been I suspect approached by Tripadvisor to rewrite their 1st review because of its libellous, zealous malice towards me and my home.

I am again re-iterating part of my original reply:

“Am sorry that your stay with us did not come up to expectation….especially as we have just received a Certificate of Excellence 2013 with Tripadvisor. Guest experience is very important to us so we take your comments on board and will address accordingly.”

I hope future guests will go on to read some of Glenkirk’s past reviews….. submitted by guests who have stayed here and enjoyed Glenkirk for the unique individuality that awarded us the 2013 Certificate and decide for themselves..….....Fiona

We stayed just one night as we were on a cycling trip to Skye. Would strongly recommend to anyone , lovely home style accommodation ( we had two twin rooms) and a great breakfast to start the day.

For bikes there is safe storage available and a hearty welcome
