just spent two nights glamping in the excellent wooden pods x very cosy and well equipped - myself and my hubby were able to completely unwind and relax. The barbeque hut is a great idea - well thought out and lovely place to meet fellow glampers x I would urge everyone to visit here - just remember to bring matches to light your fire pit xx

We've camped for years and seen camping pods before but nothing like this. Everything you needed was provided. Underfloor heating, intimite lighting, Flat screen T.V with freeview, DVD player, ipod docking station, kettle, toaster, microwave indoor and outdoor BQ's with cooking utensils, sun loungers, wash up area, pans, cuttlery, crockery, tea coffee, sugar. All you need to take is food and beverages.
The armadillas are set on a small hilside with beatiful views accross the valley on the site of a small holding where you can see horses, cattle, sheep and baby lambs being born. One of my highlights was getting to hold a one day old lamb, it was so cute! I've already been recommending this to my friends and I recommend it to anyone who reads this comment. Give it a go, you'll love it!

These armadillos are amazing they have all of your home comforts and are so cozy and warm. if you love beautiful countryside, stunning views and wildlife this is the place for you. In our 3 nights stay me and my husband and friends saw a herd of deer, 2 little lambs being born, the owners even let us hold a baby lamb. We all absolutely loved everything about the experience spending all 3 nights in the beautiful fully equipped indoor bbq hut where you could play music while eating/drinking/chatting we simply didn't need to go anywhere else. Fantastic value for money we were provided with tea, sugar, coffee and toilet rolls, towels were changed and rooms cleaned during our stay + owners could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Went with my partner and we had a brilliant time!
The Armadillo's are great. They have everything in them you would need and are really cosy...don't think I could ever use a tent again! The farm is lovely and we had horses, highland cows, loads of land to roam and sheep giving birth just a short walk away. The owners are really hospitable too.
On top of that there is a fab BBQ area and if you bring along food and good drink...you can have a brilliant time!
The surrounding area is absolutely stunning and there are some beautiful spots to visit. You can climb mountains, visit castles, spot deer, see dramatic landscape and waterfalls, meet the locals...then cuddle up by a roaring fire and relax.
We highly recommend

Had read some negative reviews on here before we left for Drumnadrochit so were a little apprehensive.
We had absolutely NOTHING to worry about. There were 6 of us arriving taking 3 of the 4 armadillos. WE LOVED THEM.
I've been glamping before and they were nothing like these little beauties. Where do I start....Underfloor heating, wet room (hot shower, hand basin and toilet in one little room), very comfortable bed, toaster, kettle, fridge, plates, knives and forks, spot lights controlled by dimmer switch, extra mood lighting, little outside light too, your own fire pit and decking area, free Wi-Fi. Very clean. The shared indoor barbecue was excellent, really cosy.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful and recommended things to do, which we took them up on. We had a fab day at Glen Affric and walking to Plodda falls. Breathtaking scenery. I am totally going back here and will be highly recommending to all my friends.
The drive there through Glen Coe was out of this world and then the drive home through the Cairngorms was was equally as beautiful. Everyone we met was really friendly and helpful. Even when i reversed my car into a small ditch, the locals were there in no time helping me out.
Can't wait to get back.

We were really excited about glamping as we had both never done it before, and the armadilla didn't disappoint. When we arrived there was a family there also about to check in. We waited for the owner for a couple of minutes and she then appeared. Before we were shown to our armadilla the owner wanted the remaining £5 that we owed her (the £50 payment is taken beforehand) I only had £10 on me. She said that she didnt have any change, but insisted that i paid her straight away. We didn't find this very welcoming...We were shown to our armadilla which was lovely inside. The double bed was made up, and there was a TV with freeview, and an ipod dock which was great. The wet room/toilet was small but perfect for our glamping needs. In the armadilla is a small fridge, a kettle/toaster and there was also some plastic plates, mugs and cutlery for us to use. The owner told us that we were lucky as the previous occupants had left us milk in the fridge. Is this lucky?! It would have been nice if there were some sachets of coffee/tea and maybe some biscuits. It doesn't cost much and I think this would have added to the glamping experience. There was a book with things to do in the local area, but also lots of rules what we could and couldn't do during our stay there. Rules are fine, we were obviously happy to adhere to them but perhaps there was no need to write them in capitals!! We didn't need my change in the end as we bought fire wood (£6) for our fire pit. We had a lovely campfire and a really enjoyable stay in our armadilla. If the lady owner was less abrupt at the start I think that would have made our stay more enjoyable. Overall the pods were really fun to stay in.

We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with Loch Ness Glamping. We would take this opportunity to address some of the issues you raised in your review.
It is usual for campsites to request payment on arrival as guests can leave at any time. We also state in our confirmation letter we require payment on arrival. We are likely to forget who owes a balance or may not be available at the time of departure.
Loch ness Glamping apologises if you had to wait to be show into your Armadilla, we can be quite busy if our guests arrive at the same time.
We provide as much tea, coffee and sugar as our guests require in large marked jars, however given the low cost of the accommodation, outdoor nature of glamping and guests differing tastes milk biscuits and other such items are left for our glampers to provide.
The only rules on site are no smoking in the Armadillas and no disposable BBQ's on site all the rest is information for our guests benefit. the info is presented in large letters to enable easy reading.
We thank you for taking the time to write a review and we will make every effort to give all our guests a warm welcome and a fun stay

We stayed here for one night and we had an amazing experience. We weren't really sure what to expect especially as the weather was so cold but it topped all expectations. The pods were fantastic and were spotlessly clean with everything you could need including tv, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. The BBQ house was excellent and meant we could have a BBQ and camp fire despite the freeing weather. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us including getting us firewood despite us originally saying we didn't need any. They also suggested we had the fire in the BBQ house as it was so cold. We were concerned the pods would be cold but in fact the underfloor heating made it lovely, warm and cosy. The wet room was super and made this place stand out above others as we did not have to walk to a freezing toilet block in the night. We would not hesitate to recommend this experience to others and we will hopefully be returning soon! Thanks for a fantastic stay Laura and John :)
