Arrived here after a 14 mile walk along The Great Glen.
I had read mixed reviews about the hotel, but went with an open mind.
The staff on arrival went out of thier way to be helpful, check in was very fast anf efficient. The room was a bit tired and in need of a bit of TLC, but the plus was I had a big deep bath, just what I needed at this stage of the walk.
I got a good nights sleep, no noise at all, breakfast was very good and plenty of it.
The breakfast was a buffet, fruit juice, fruit and a full cooked breakfast, what more could you ask for.
All I would say is go with an open mind and you will not be disapointed.

This hotel is a bit dated but is still very good. The restaurant is upstairs and has a good selection on the menu and good views from window seats. Service was very good, especially from Katie who was very natural and pleasant. The food was also very good and of a good serving size. Very tasty meal. Would have loved to stay a bit longer and enjoy the ambience, however we had to drive back to Inverness so we resisted the urge.

Rooms were basic but perfectly adequate...food was great and the staff were brilliant. Good atmosphere and excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Excellent value for money.

The people here were great - all smiles, ready to help, energetic, aggressive. Really the best. Unfortunately, you can't get around the fact that the hotel is kind of a dump and the restaurant is decidedly pedestrian. The room was small, the mattress bowed, the decor tired and worn out. The shower had no significant pressure and the wifi was slow as molasses. Breakfast was fine, I have to say, but only if you wanna eat fattening junk. No oatmeal, no fruit. I paid $130US per night, and for that I think I could have done a lot better. If you're gonna see Loch ness, stay in one of the 10,000 B&Bs you see all up and down the road. The D-Drochit Hotel isn't worth it.

I actually only had dinner here (my parents and I were staying at a B&B down the road), but I had to leave a glowing review! The Loch Ness Bistro was fabulous--good music, a varied menu with delicious food (for 3 people we ordered 3 entrees and 2 appetizers and not a bite went un-enjoyed!), and a lovely dining experience. All in all though, it was the staff that made our visit so special. We called asking about dinner and one of the directors of the hotel offered to pick us up in his own car, as the shuttle was on an airport run at the moment, so we wouldn't have to drive ourselves back and forth from the B&B. He became not only our personal chauffeur, but comedian as well, entertaining us well into the night with jokes and pleasant conversation. (Thanks Sean, my parents and I had a lovely meal!) Even without having stayed the night, we would definitely recommend the Drumnadrochit Hotel to others!

This is a great little stop over, although a little over priced, I guess as a result of the proximity to Nessie. Team were amazingly friendly and welcoming, food was excellent and good value. Accommodation could do with a little spruce up, but all you would need and a comfortable bed.

As with so many hotels, my only complaint was the broadband in the rooms. Perhaps as a result of the layout of the site with rooms spaced well apart (an advantage in most cases), the broad band was a little patchy. Free high speed access was available in the bar area.

Real highlight was the staff, thanks for an excellent night, I would certainly stop over again.

Clean rooms, really friendly, helpful staff. Didn't eat an evening meal here but watched a Scottish ceilidh Band one night which was great. The breakfast is brilliant and sets you up well for a day of walking and exploring.
