First time for lunch at Mar Hall, with high expectations, as lots of celebrities stay there....service was excellent, one chicken dish was nice, however three of the four mains was challenging, traditional Sunday roast beef. Three of the meals returned due to very tough beef, second time round two of us persevered, another returned and got salmon which was nice.

All in all a bit disappointing, as it was a treat for my sister. I would try the restaurant in the future, not the same meal, as a one off occasion does not set the standard.

We had an Itson Voucher for afternnoon tea at Mar Hall. Very friendly welcome and were shown right away to s comfortable seat in the magnificent Grand Hall. An impressive afternnon tea was served with a good selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. The scones, meringues and lemon tarts were delicious. Service was prompt and efficient and we were offered more tea and cakes. We were even offered a 'doggy bag' for the couple of cakes we left as we were so full.

Lovely family lunch at this luxury hotel & spa. Service a little bit slow but staff very courteous & helpful. I had booked this family lunch over 3 weeks prior to our visit on the 11th November but when we arrived the maitre de couldn't find the booking on the computer!!! Panic!!! But he assured us there was no problem & asked us to have a seat in the bar till our table was ready, they didn't take long & we were soon enjoying fantastic roast beef with all the trimmings, there was a good choice of starters & desserts as well. Beautifully appointed dining room which you approach through a stunning long hall, with lots of seating areas for afternoon tea! Not a cheap lunch but nice for a special event or treat.

I can remember when the building that is now the beating heart of the Mar Hall Hotel was the centre of Erskine Hospital.
The re-vamp of the provision made by the Hospital liberated the manor house for a major overhaul to be born again as the Mar Hall Hotel.
Handy for Glasgow's Abbotsinch Airport, Mar Hall offers luxury and seclusion on a unique riverside location.
