we booked the hotel and car parking on holidayextras.com and payed just over £50 for car parking for a week and the hotel for the night before we travelled. It seemed like a great deal. However, there are two Cosmopolitan hotels, this one and one at erskine bridge, they will not confirm which one you are staying at until you arrive at the hotel. Luckily we were here so did not have to travel on. The hotel is fine, definately nothing fancy. We arrived late afternoon and decided to go into town for dinner but the hotel is miles away from teh city centre so this is a bit of a slog on the bus! The hotel also has a function room so when we arrived back around 10pm, having to get up at 4am for our flight we were bombarded by people milling about froma function and the music going on quite late. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the airport which was why we thought it ws so handy, but this turned out to be a nightmare. They only run the shuttle every quarter to the hour!! what nonsense, I have stayed in many airport hotels and the transfers are always much more regular. This means you are either arriving way too early at the airport - negating the benefit of staying close by, or else you are cutting it a bit fine when the transfer does not arrive at quarter to the hour but a good fifteen minutes late. For the price we payed we cant complain, but I would not recommend the hotel to anyone as it really is quite cheap and nasty and there are better places to stay.

Stayed for a night in May before heading abroad and was very impressed. Clean, well organised, comfy, nice dinner and breakfast, slick pick up to the airport and speedy on return. There were two weddings going on at the time we were there but sound proofing was good and we heard nothing. Everything you could want for an overnight before heading off and I would be more than happy to spend a few days in this hotel. Decor is a wee bit dated but excellent value for the price. Two weeks parking and dinner, bed and breakfast for £90, bit of a bargain we thought.

We've just had another fantastic stay here at the Normandy. This is a 3 star hotel , that is a 5 star in our minds. You won't get padded coat hangers, or 2 dozen cushions on the bed, nor will you get state of the art in room entertainment systems . However you will get steaming hot water at all times ; shower pressure that will wake you up in the morning; a bath tub that will fill in an instant ; clean rooms and bathrooms; hotel rates that won't leave you smarting , and the best breakfast we have had in Scotland ....and that includes 3 of the big 5 star hotels.
The staff are welcoming and Ashley is always there to greet you with a smile .....I think you will realise we love it here, and believe it should get the credit it deserves.
Thank you Normandy , we had a brilliant stay

the service was very good. the staff were very friendly and compliments to the chef for our meals via room service..very delicious! the family room was of decent size with a view that gave the children opportunity to watch all the planes landing nearby. as we used this hotel for airport transfers before and after our holiday, we found it very convenient and hassle free! there was more than just one channel (a review posted by someone previously states that there was only BBC One to watch when it was really 1-5 and ITV 2). This happended to us on our 2nd stay so went down to the reception to notify staff and an engineer was up to the room within 5 minutes and fixed the problem.

Room Tip: we stayed in rooms 316, 317 & 318

Thank you for your review, continuous feedback helps us to improve our service and product.

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our rooms to the back of the hotel do provide a perfect view to watch the planes arrive and depart from the airport.

With regards to the televisions, sine the digital changeover our older TV’s are struggling to cope with the change so I am pleased to announce that we have started to replace these with new 22 inch lcd tv’s with built in freeview. We hope to have them all replaced by the end of the year.
Thank you again for your positive comments and I look forward to welcoming you back to the Normandy Hotel - Glasgow Airport again soon.

We stayed one night and attended one of the Normandy's tribute nights (Rod Stewart/Tina Turner) the room was a good size but the bed was very small it was also very hot in the room itself. this was better than being too cold. the bathroom was a little tired there were a few broken tiles and the bath panel was broken as well this was a shame cos it devalued the room a little!
the breakfast in the morning was excellent lots of food and a great choice. think some of the staff had been out the night before and were suffering a little bit on the Sunday morning! there was also signs every where telling you that you would not get in the breakfast area if you were wearing your pyjamas! which were adhered too thankfully. We have stayed here since our 1st visit and would stay again if we were in the area. Good value for money.

We stayed here 27 years ago before a flight on our honeymoon. This year we decided to spend our anniversary there. What a mistake. The check in was ok, nothing great. When we walked into the room we thought we'd gone into a cupboard by mistake. It should never have been used as a double room - there was less than a foot at the right hand side of the bed. The built in cupboards were in severe need of replacing and looked like it would have 27 years ago! The bathroom was compact - the bath panel was hanging off. Reception advertised breakfast from 5am - 10am. We went down at 9 and after standing for a while a waitress came to us and we asked if we could sit anywhere - she said "I'll need to set a table for you". There was no information given on the buffet breakfast which I think had been reheated since 5am. A while later we heard two of the staff criticising their employers and then one of the girls asked another if she could cook eggs as people were coming into the restaurant! Really not a very customer friendly experience. We checked out as soon as we could and will definitely not be returning. The only positive point was that the reception was clean. The car park however was a shambles.
