We have come to the Four Seasons for a number of years and we have always enjoyed our stays here. We now have a spaniel puppy and given the dog friendly reputation of the hotel we decided to treat ourselves and our boy to a short break.
We booked one of the chalets as we thought it would be handier for the dog. The decor is admittedly dated but very clean and perfectly comfortable.
We ate at the hotel both nights - first in the bistro then in the main restaurant. The standard of the food was excellent. We paid the supplement for the scallops at the restaurant and it was well worth it as they were divine.
The breakfasts were absolutely superb too and I would heartily recommend the kedgeree.
Not wanting our dog to miss out we ordered him a dinner from the doggy menu. I'm not exaggerating when I say I probably would have tucked into it myself! Ham hough and jelly - complete with a sprig of parsley (which Mr Fussy left!).
The location is beautiful and either with or without a dog the Four Seasons is without doubt worth a visit.More
