We had a wonderful night at Achray House Hotel. Fabulous views over the loch and the most delicious food (6 course tasting menu). Dinner is served in the conservatory overlooking loch and mountains, by most friendly and attentive staff. The hotel has been tastefully decorated. I would love to go back again!

Stayed at the Achray for one night as part of a belated Birthday Gift.

Took advantage of the Taster Menu Dinner offer which was included in the price.
The Hotel is placed in a Stunning location right in the Banks of the Loch and the Dining Conservatory is perfectly placed to enjoy the Vistas while having Dinner.

The Dinner itself was amazing, each course looked almost as good as it tasted and was made from local produce. Not being a Wine drinker I went for the Ghosts of Past Whisky Trio of old Distilleries which have (unfortunately going by the quality and flavour) closed down. After the meal we sat by the Roaring fire in the Lounge where we watched the light fade behind the Mountains on the other side of the Loch.
The Room it's self was clean, relatively spacious, and well equipped with views again of the Loch.

Breakfast again was made from local produce and was perfect fuel for a walk around the area which was breathtaking (especially with the sun out!).
Alan & Jane were great hosts and had great knowledge in what was being served (food and drink) and seemed to have a great passion for what they did.

In all the Achray was a great wee find in an Area we had never been before. The perfect place to enjoy what Scotland can offer away from the Big Chain Hotels and resorts.

Thanks for your beautifully written review, and I'm pleased you enjoyed all we had to offer. The Ghosts of the Past whisky journey is indeed unique: we can no longer get any the three whiskies you sampled, so once those bottles are gone, the whisky will just be a historic memory.

Hoping to see you again in the future.

Two nights at Achray House Hotel last weekend was a blissful experience! Wonderful lochside location, friendly staff and great breakfasts with locally sourced produce. We ate off the bar menu one night and good to see two vegetarian main course choices included. Intermittent rain didn't deter us from taking in several local walks nearby and a short hop to Lochearnhead if you fancy more hubbub (we didn't !)

Thanks for your generous review. We always try to make sure we have some variety for vegetarian guests. Whilst not vegetarians, Jane and I often become temporary vegetarians when we travel in the Far East, and it is we feel it is important to try to offer a bit of variety form the standard unimaginative vegetarian fare which so often features on many menus.

A small friendly hotel. Ideal situation for visiting well known sites.
Beautiful sun patio overlooking Loch Earn, as does the dining room, and if you are lucky you might see an Osprey fishing in the loch.
The food is superb, such wonderful. Imaginative presentation.
Rooms very well decorated.

Room Tip: The Loch facing rooms are worth the extra cost

Thanks for your kind review. As they visit us every year, we are prone to take the osprey for granted, but it is a magnificent sight when you see them dive and pull a fish from the loch.

We had a great stay at this hotel , which was outstanding value for money with amazing views of the loch. Very warm, friendly family run hotel with modern spacious rooms. We had the six course taster menu in the new conservatory/dinning room over looking the picturesque loch. The food was fantastic with excellent all round service. We will certainly be back and well worth a visit !

This was our second visit to Achray House. Cannot recommend it highly enough, wonderful staff, beautiful location and food was of a superb standard. Tried the 6 course taster menu this time and especially enjoyed the wood pigeon and venison courses which were cooked to perfection.
Hotel is well situated for visiting Perthshire, Stirling and Edinburgh but it's hard dragging yourself away from such a wonderful location.

Room Tip: Have been in Loch View and Mountain View rooms, both very comfortable.

Thanks for your kind review on your return visit. Wood pigeon and venison are both very popular at Achray House, and we are lucky to have access to both in the local hills.

Hoping to see you again soon.
