The room was good value, but we had to get rid of
four spiders in the bedroom.
The en-suite bathroom was very basic, and
decorated in the 1970s/early 80s, when cheap
plastic was in vogue for bathroom suites.
Apparently it had been 'recently upgraded', in
words they bought a new towel rail and toilet roll
holder from Argos.
There were spiders on the walls who took it in
to abseil up and down when the shower was on, and
webs all around the windows and ceiling which
had been bothered to clear for quite some time.
Other than that it was adequate as a stop-over in
the amazingly beautiful village of St. Fillans,
which is on the edge of Loch Earn, where the
mountains sweep down to the village edge.
The hotel has a beer garden right beside the
which is lovely, though watch out for the midges
a summer evening.
Food at the hotel is basic, no better. Breakfast
The Drummond Hotel is an okay budget choice, but
somewhere to stay for long.
