Where else can you see a band in front of only 50 people. As intimate as you will ever get. And you get to meet them and have a few drinks. Food is just wonderful and the friendliness of the staff is just great....will be back for Albert Lee! Grond floor room was very big and comfortable.

A disappointing stay.

The food (and service) at dinner was actually quite reasonable but the breakfast was poor. The service in particular needs a serious overhaul and some attitude readjustment to bring it into line with acceptable standards.

My bed had a variety of interesting physical detritus from the previous resident and the weird musty smell at the top of the stairs was really off putting.

The landlord's only words to me throughout the whole stay, "You pay me" were disappointing as we had expected a warmer welcome but also ironic since, given the quality of the stay I felt entitled to say the same thing to him.

To be fair, this place has a great deal of potential but probably needs a major refit, the location is extremely attractive and the surrounding area is beautiful and some of the staff did try really hard to make the stay a good one.

The poor quality of the overall service and the shabby, rather than homely, nature of the accommodation will continue to present a serious deterrent to even those seeking modest lodgings.

Stayed at hotel in December 2004 and room was musty. Bedding had lots of someone else's hair in it so clearly not cleaned for some time. Room not cleaned during our two-night stay - bins not emptied, towels not folded, bed not made, etc. They also forgot to shut the room door on the way out after cleaning so left it open to anyone wanting to go in there. Limited amount of hot water available in the morning and, as the rooms don't have showers, that means that only one of us could have a shallow bath.

Food at dinner is quite good but breakfast is terrible and made worse by monosyllabic waiter who is very uninterested. Probably in the wrong job.

All in all, not a good place to stay and needs to be updated and but sure it is fun to go and hear the music from time to time.

So the rooms are not 5 star that's not why you go to the Bein Inn. Its well run cosy and very freindly. The rooms are comfortable and much better than you would expect. The food and service are great, but the best thing of all has to be the people. We had breakfast next to Benny Gallagher then stayed on to see John Jorgenson and again sat with him chatting in the bar. This man is Elton Johns favorite Guitarist , for Gods sake!!! We will be back

Clean but basic room, slight musty, damp smell though. Food in restaurant/bar was excellent but breakfast a little 'ordinary' and not always well cooked. Did spend a pleasant 3 nights here though, the music memorabilia is great and it is an excellent, intimate gig venue. Would definitely return for a stay if combining it with a gig.
