“Once again a lovely break with excellent staff”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

My wife and I (+ our dog) visited the Murraypark again early Feb for a two night break with the meal included on one evening.

The staff make you so welcome and as previously the service is great without being too pushy or gushing.

We enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for April.

Highly recomended.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in January, first time at this hotel altough have stayed at the sister hotel many times with the children. Had dinner on both evenings and was really impressed with the food and in particular the service! The hotel is decorated to a good standard and very clean. Bar area with real log fire is very welcoming. Hope to be back.

My wife and I returned for the third year in succession for a 4 night's break. As always we had a lovely room but this time with large flat screen TV and an excellent view over the town to the distant hills.
The quality of the food was of high standard and always piping hot. A variation in the dinner menu would be one small request.
The staff were most helpful and efficient in all departments, couldn't speak highly enough about them. Lynne and Alicija do a great job which must inspire the staff.
Lovely walks around the Hydro grounds as well as being able to make use of its facilities.
Crieff is situated well for Stirling, an excellent Thistle shopping centre, which can be reached directly using the Park and Ride facility. Perth is also worth a visit and there are many local driving routes well worth using for the scenery. Crieff has some first class coffee shops in the town centre as well as many places of interest closeby.
Hopefully we shall be able to return next year.

Me and my family had a great stay at the Murray park,we spent two nights at the hotel and found the room to be great for my family, very clean and very modern. The food was very good and the staff very helpful. We were also given free access to Crieff hydro hotel itself, which had a swimming pool, outdoor activity's and kids clubs. Also many evening activity's,we went to the disco in the evening on the free Creiff hydro bus.Would love to go back and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a monday to thursday break at the hotel recently ,food was great and the staff are very friendly and make you very welcome but the room we stayed in ,number 10 ,was not great .Some refurb work has been done, new sockets and lights and the bathroom looked fresh albeit with a couple of cracks in the tiles but the paintwork on skirting boards and doors are all chipped and marked ,really badly.I noticed in a previous review someone mentioned a noise through the wall ,its like sleeping next to a central heating boiler and I reckon rooms 10-12 will all be affected ,the view from the room is spoiled by the vent for the log fire downstairs .On the positive side were the staff who were a great help with getting gluten-free choices for my wife and the food was great and like everybody else really enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast.I would recommend a trip to the hotel but maybe ask to see your room first

We have returned home today from another short break to Murraypark Hotel Crieff. Our room was well appointed including tea and coffee facilities, very comfortable beds, and excellent decor. The bathroom was well stocked with lovely white towels and gleaming bath units..
We had afternoon tea in the bar lounge, alongside a roaring log fire. served by very personable young waiters who attended to everyone's needs, and made us feel most welcome. We usually have dinner in the dining room, but this time we opted to have High Tea , also served in the bar lounge. This was of a very high standard, with excellent choice on the menu, and really well cooked.
What was most impressive however, was the professionalism of ALL the staff. From manageress down, they could not do enough to help, and were extremely polite and courteous..We love our visits to Murraypark for all the above reasons. In addition, all the facilities at Crieff Hydro are available to Murraypark guests.
Although all members of the staff deserve special mention, well-run hotels like this do not happen without good management, and for this, Lynne,( Murraypark manageress) is worthy of special mention, as is the supervisor for today, 7th February--Alicija from Poland, who is a tremendous asset to the establishment. We are already planning our next visit!

Just back from an overnight stay in murraypark. Rooms were nice, food was lovely, staff were pleasant. Dogs are allowed to stay in hotel and you can smell them in corridor, doesn't bother me but might put off some people. Staff were kind enough to let us have our evening meal in our room, mainly due to our son who would probably disrupt other guests. Crieff hydro is great if you have kids, both my sons enjoyed the soft play area. Would return but probably when my youngest is older.
