“Not only for bookworms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

I am a bookworm and I love books, so libraries are one of my favourite places. I have visited a lot of them, but the Innerpeffray Library is something special: intimate like your own study in an amazing location. I greatly envied the lovely lady in charge of it.

It is always a pleasure to welcome everyone, including bookworms (as long as they don't actually eat the books).

“book lover's dream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

I visited this small library / museum for the first time on Thursday and was overwhelmed by the welcome I got from the museum manager Lara. She was very knowledgeable about the library and its origins and also about the books found there. I will certainly be visiting this place again, hopefully very soon. If you love books, museums and / or history this place is a must to visit.

“If you love old books ...”

Have always loved old books & libraries so innerpeffrey is a wonderful place to visit. The narrow track only adds to the anticipation. I saw a red squirrel too.

“Amazing gem off the beaten track”

If you can find this library, you will be amazed to learn all about the early days of the education system in Scotland, handle books from 17th century and maybe even trace the books that an ancestor borrowed
