My girlfriend and I stayed for a night at Knock Castle. I booked the room for a treat for her birthday and was looking forward to a weekend of pampering and great food and we were not disappointed!

When we arrived we were greeted warmly at reception, the entrance to the hotel was very grand and clean and nicely decorated. We had a massage booked for the afternoon. The massage itself was fantastic, and just what we both needed after a long drive and I'm sure that we gave the massage girls plenty of knots to work on!
After the massage we made our way down to the pool which was located away from the main building. The pool was again clean and spacious and had great views over the valley below and the castle behind us. The jacuzzi was also a welcome and warm relief for us both. We stayed in the pool for over an hour completely undisturbed by any other guests which was unusual and really helped to set the tone for the relaxing weekend ahead.

After relxing by the pool we made our way to our room, we stayed in the deluxe Loch Earn suite which came with four poster bed, jacuzzi bath and monsoon shower. The room was perfect for us, and the bed was one of the comfiest we had ever stayed in! If ou are wanting to take a loved one away for a romantic geaway then this is certainly the room to chose.

We made our way down to dinner and decided to go for the set taster menu which offered 6 courses for £49 each. We was recomended a lovely bottle of wine by Matt the restaurant manager which went with the meal perfectly. The food arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!

After we had gone back to the room we had trouble getting the jacuzzi bath to work, we phoned down to reception who said they would send someone up, less than a minute later the hotel manager / head chef was at the door to look at the bath, fresh from cooking amazing meals for the whole hotel! Jason couldnt have been more friendly and helpful and was a great character as well and a credit to the hotel.

In summary we had a great time at Knock Castle, the location was perfect, the food stunning and the staff couldnt have been more helpful and pleasant. We will definately be going back!

Room Tip: Stay in the Loch Earn Deluxe room!

My friends and I visited Knock Castle for a spa day at the weekend, and had a really nice time. The leisure facilites were clean and well equipped. The pool was a lovely temperature - perfect for floating around and relaxing, but big enough to have a swim if you want. the Jacuzzi was divine. The steam room could have been a bit steamier, but thats personal taste! We had lunch which was very nice, jsut soup and sandwiches - didnt want to eat too much before our treatments but they were very nice and our waiter was very attentive. We then went for our massages and chilled in the relaxation room before headong home. The staff couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating. Well worth a wee visit for a spa day. Just wish we had beens staying over and could have sampled the wine list!

Stayed here this weekend and honestly did not want to leave!
We stayed in one of the suites which was beautiful and spacious! The bathroom was inside a turret and was spotlessly clean with stairs leading up to the bath!
The food was cooked perfectly and the restaurant manager was so friendly and helpful!
All members of staff were very pleasant and helpful!
To make sure you get out of the bed in the morning there is a variety of treatments to choose from and a delicious breakfast!
The hotel also contains a swimming pool and a cinema room!
The views from the windows are so picturesque and the atmosphere is so relaxing!
By far the best hotel I have stayed in!

Dear Kelly 7411,
The Glenalmond suite really is spectacular and I am delighted you enjoyed it so much. Guest feedback is incredibly important to me as it is the only sure fire way to know how the hotel is performing. Thank you for your kind words and hopefully we can welcome you back in the future.

Fantastic views and the snow coming down as we sat in the opulently decorated lounge was like a picture postcard. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was extremely clean and the room was nice. Spa treatments we had were really good. We had a sandwich lunch and breakfast which were fine. We thought that the full dinner menu would be really good quality, however the main course choice for vegetarians on both lunch and dinner was risotto, which is not particularly exciting (although I'm sure it would be a fantastic risotto)!

Room Tip: The castle lodge is away from the main hotel which is great as it is very quiet, but is further away from the leisure facilities so if you're feeling lazy you might not pop down to the pool, but it's not so far away that it would be a hassle!

Dear Thermite,
The views from both buildings really are picturesque and with the snow falling and fires lit it really does add that magical feel. I am pleased that you did enjoy your lunch and breakfast so much, regarding dinner we do have four different menus available and also encourage our guests to tell us in advance if there are any particular dishes they would like cooked, hopefully you will visit again in the future and sample some of our other vegetarian dishes.

From booking this hotel, everything was perfect. Dealing with Louise from start to finish was very professional and the service she provided was fantastic. We were given an upgrade to the Ben Chonzie room, which was perfect. The room had a roll top bath in it, with a seperate bathroom and shower cubicle. It was perfect. We used the spa facilities, which is in a seperate building. A swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna room were all available. It was brilliant! Having a swim while watching snow fall! The food at this hotel is faultless. We had dinner an breakfast and Matt made the whole experience one never to forget as his courtesy and professionalism was outstanding.
All we can say is Knock Castle is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Scotland or UK wide! We WILL return to this hotel.

Dear SmithS&B

I am so pleased that your experience of Knock Castle was so positive, the Ben Chonzie room is newly refurbished and is very opulent, all of our Suites and Castle Deluxe rooms are decorated individually in order to give you a different experience each time you stay. The views from the different parts of the hotel are what truly gives it that edge on the competition and what better way to watch snowfall than from a heated pool!
