We were up from Dorset visiting friends who we took to Yann's last Saturday night. The place was buzzing. Busy, great ambience, and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped inside. And in spite of being busy the service was quick and attentive.
We didn't really test the chef's skills beyond selecting great cuts of meat because we had the pierrade, though the starters from french onion soup to the gorgonzola tartlet to the carpaccio and eggs benedict were all very acceptable.
The pierrade came with a magnificent selection of meats, chicken, duck, pork, beef, lamb and an array of sauces or dips and was great fun as well as being a very hearty meal.
