My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and took our two dogs. Beautiful cottage with lovely decoration and amenities, very clean and a real home from home, dogs settled in too. Alexandra and David were very accommodating and showed us around monzie estate. Would highly recommend this footage to this wanting to escape for a few days sit back and enjoy the views with a glass of wine.

“Remote bliss”
Reviewed April 13, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Just had four days here. A really beautifully appointed cottage, totally spotless and everything thought of (torch in a holder by the door, blankets for outside) Alexandra and family are helpful and warm hosts.

Don't miss out on seeing the stars over the valley from the comfort of the hot tub, one of the most peaceful places in the world!

“Cosy winter weekend”
Reviewed January 8, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Spent 2 nights at the cottage as an escape from the January blues. The communication beforehand was great (despite what was clearly a busy time for the owners!) and the directions made it easy to find in the dark.
The cottage was excellent. Hidden away with excellent bright views from every room. It was lovely and warm with a good wood burner (and good supply of logs). Kitchen had everything we needed and the hot tub was used on a chilly afternoon/evening to enjoy the surrounding countryside views.
The cottage is clearly recently decorated with bespoke pieces from the local joinery giving it a lovely homely feel.
We enjoyed nearby walks and Crieff is pretty to visit.
Would highly recommend.

“Secluded romantic and relaxing cottage.”
Reviewed November 2, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

My wife and I arrived on the Monday, the directions we recieved were excellent and took us right to the front door. We found a nice bottle of proseco waiting for us with some fresh flowers which was a lovely touch and much appreciated.
The cottage is immaculate and clearly has been the subject of a complete upgrade recently. The only drawback being that the front door was a bit sticky to get open as it's all so new and a tight fit.
The cottage is finished to a very high standard and we particularly enjoyed the under floor heating in the bathroom.
The hot tub had only just been turned on and it took until around 11 pm before it had warmed enough for us to attempt to get in. We used it every day of our stay and absolutely loved it. Under the stars with all the lights off was incredibly relaxing.
The log burner in the living room was excellent. Easy to get the fire started and the cottage warmed up so quickly we had to open the windows to cool down. We had some unseasonable warm weather for Scotland in October so we didn't really get the benefit of the fire as the cottage is so well insulated.
We enjoyed walking the hills most days and relaxing playing board games and watching dvds as well as the hot tub obviously.
The bed was very comfortable and cozy with high quality bedding and pillows.

“Tranquil”

We are just finishing up our 3 night stay at the cottage and have had the best time relaxing here in all the splendour and beauty of the countryside.

There are no neighbours and no disturbance whatsoever - it really is complete tranquility and the views from the cottage (and hot tub) are absolutely breathtaking. It's out of the way but not isolated; local shops are but a 5 minute drive away and the lovely town of Crieff not much farther. The Monzie estate is stunning and having a wee walk or two is highly recommended as long as you are mindful of livestock. We saw lots of exciting wildlife from just the front door and made friends with a lady who has livery just down the hill.

The cottage itself was absolutely pristine when we arrived, everything was gleaming. The beds were made beautifully and towels arranged at the bottom for us. The bed is very luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom/wet room was such a pleasure with the rainfall shower. The fluffy bathrobes pre/post hot tubbing were the icing on the cake. I also recommend having a hot tub at night and star gazing with the hot tub lights off - amazing! The work in the cottage by Monzie Joinery is so natural, made so well and really adds to the whole ethos of the place.

The wood fire was such a lovely touch (we lit it every evening). There was loads of spare wood in the little hut outside and all of the accoutrements were available and easy to use.

Everything worked and worked well. We had no issues and a fabulous stay.

Alexandra was so helpful with everything and even left us a little bottle of wine (beautiful) and brought fresh flowers for the kitchen table. Thank you!

*Do read the cottage manual for any troubleshooting and also for suggestions for places to eat/go, things to do and walks to have. We did a a lot of it and weren't disappointed!
