“Wonderful experience.”

Liked everything, for us it was a unique experience. We had the Du Marche menu it was a present from our Grandson. The food was out of this world and the staff were excellent.

“Remains unsurpassed”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles remains the best restaurant in Britain as far as my wife and I are concerned. Recently we spoilt ourselves to a gastronomic treat with a taster menu from guest chef Tom Kerridge from the Hand and Flowers, followed by Andrew Fairlie's own eight course taster two days later. We left heavier in weight and lighter in pocket. Expensive? Undoubtedly. Worth it? Without question worth every last penny. Epicurean heaven.

“Excellent service and perfectly prepared food”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

My husband wanted to visit here to celebrate his 50th birthday, having already visits several 1* restaurants in Scotland. Service is excellent, unobtrusive but very attentive, the team is run with military precision. We went for the a la carte as we sometimes feel the tasting menus are a bit too much - I had to have the lobster as it's the restaurant's signature dish and it was heavenly, very delicately smoked and flavoured to ensure that the lobster was the star of the show. Duck main course also excellent (and the little deep-fried nuggets containing confit duck were delightful although crying out for some kind of savoury dip), also the pineapple souffle was to die for, very light but so tasty and the rum&raisin icecream was also excellent.

“Exceptional!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Exceedingly good night! Had bought my husband vouchers for the 8 course tasting menu for his birthday, unfortunately By the time we got round to going I was pregnant. Told the staff & they couldn't have been more helpful, proving different dishes for those I couldn't eat. Staff were attentive yet not pretentious and the atmosphere was classy yet relaxed. Husband thoroughly enjoyed the wine recommendation after he'd mentioned a few wines he liked. Food was superb, as should be expected, and presentation was just as perfect. Can't recommend enough for a special occasion, just make sure you book well in advance for a Friday or Saturday.

“A special place...”

...for a special time. Book well inadvance to make sure you get a table and experience wonderful Scottish cuisine prepared to the highest standards. It deserves the accolades it receives although the service can be a little over done.
