Myself and family of 2 adults, 2 children (9&11) stayed here for 2 nights on 24 January. We had booked an Estate Suite and on arrival were upgraded to The Discovery Suite. The Suite was huge and consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms, a living room and dining area!

We ate at all the restaurants except Andrew Fairlie which is closed in January. I have to say the food was exceptional in all.

Whilst there we took part in various activities which included Mini Land Rover Driving, Argo Cat Driving, Horse Riding, Fly Fishing, Clay Shooting, swimming & Golf. All were fantastic and although pricey were well worth the money.

The hotel staff are fantastic and go the extra mile at every turn. The hotel is warm and friendly and the staff cannot do enough.

I dearly love this hotel and would very much welcome an opportunity to return in the near future.

I promise you - you won't be disappointed.

Have stayed previoulsy and have had varying levels of service , This time I would say service was outstanding in all areas. Staff were really excellent .We Arrvied Friday lunch time, excellent check in and given a lovely room on the second floor which had been recently refurbished . . Abeit awful view , of rooftops , but hey ho such is life sometimes. Had two wonderful treatments in the spa . Treatments are expensive, staff professional and friendly. The spa was really busy and getting a bed in the relaxation room was a challenge. Eventually got one ,only to find out that that it was soaking wet which was not a pleasant way to relax. Got a clean robe very promptly when I asked for one. They had forgotten about my second treatment and it was fortunate that I asked someone to find out if they were running late. I started my treatment late but got full time . We had a lovely swim in the pool , both adult and family. Steam room was fantastic as was Hot tub in the adult area. However hot tub in the family area and bubbles in the outside pool were not working properly. We had a fabulous meal on the Friday in in Deseso , on ordering our steak we were given great advise by the friendly waiter and opted for the Belted Galloway rib eye, a truly delicious steak. We ordred a glass of the house Malbec which was absolutely outstanding wine and great value for money. Breakfast on Saturday was lovely we had an excellent table in the conservatory , however the poached eggs were cold . On Saturday our colleagues joined us and we had a fabulous lunch in the Dormy ,three of us had chicken and prawms from the Tandorri , absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive , drinks list excellent. Sampled swedish gin for the first time which was outstanding.
Dinner on Saturday in Strathearn was excellent ,again staff , service and food were all wonderful,
we truly enjoyed our belated Christmas treat! Our dogs were in the Boarding Kennels in the grounds , again very well looked after by lovely staff. Look forward to returning !

We stayed in Gleneagles a couple of years ago, and had such find memories of the place that we were worried it wouldn't live up to expectations on a return visit. We needn't have been concerned. We stayed for 2 nights in the Benrinnes suite over my birthday weekend, and I cannot imagine a more perfect stay. From the moment Willie picked us up from the train station, we felt comfortable and looked after. The staff have the perfect balance of delivering 5 star luxury while being unobtrusive and making you feel completely at ease. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is beautiful, a fantastic grand old building. Our suite was fantastic - huge bedroom, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, large living area and stunning views from all of the windows. A nice touch to have a small plate of hor d'oeuvres waiting for us each day, a nespesso machine for morning coffee and a choice of wines. The breakfasts at gleneagles are wonderful - the kedgeree and 2 varieties of freshly sliced smoked salmon were definite highlights of the buffet. My husband was a big fan of the beefsteak for breakfast from the a la carte menu. We spent a day in the spa, which was completely blissful. The facilities are fantastic (the best I've been to) and the treatments were superb. Both evenings we ate in the Strathearn restaurant (we had wanted to try the Andrew Fairlie restaurant but sadly this was closed for the month) and the food and service were wonderful on both occasions. A definite highlight was the pianist playing a very elegant version of "happy birthday" as the restaurant manager brought over a birthday cake! I cannot recommend Gleneagles highly enough, it is my favourite place in the world. Just thinking about gleneagles makes me smile!

We had never stayed in Gleneagles before, but did attend a wedding there years ago and also had afternoon tea recently, so we were eagerly anticipating a stay in such an iconic hotel. The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel facade looks impressive. The reception desk seems small for such a hotel, but it was quiet so not a problem.

Our room on the first floor was great - large, with a decent view, huge bathroom with separate shower room and separate toilet. Our friends next door had a tiny bathroom, incorporating a shower over the bath and tightly fitted wc. So, be aware that the standard of the rooms can be shockingly variable!

The rooms were very warm throughout the night, with little option to vary the heating, as it was centrally heated via a radiator. The pillows were not good - a choice of 2 pillows each but one was far too thin and the other far too thick! And our friends in the next room complained of exactly the same issues, without any prompting!

We dined in the Deseo. Excellent restaurant - the Emporium where you choose your own meat, fish, etc. was very good. Service we found excellent, staff very friendly. We found the food quality excellent, but of course needless to say, quite pricey.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. A fair selection of hot and cold food, but not as large as anticipated. The sausages, eggs, and bacon were quite hard and tasteless. There was smoked salmon, charcuterie, and a large joint of ham which were very good quality. The cooked to order items - we had the waffle and the French toast - they were very good.

The newly renovated leisure pools are good, but the overall area is not big and I wonder how they would cope in a busy season.

Overall a good experience, but a little underwhelming for the prices charged. We would stay again, but only if there is a good deal on offer!

Had a wonderful weekend in Gleneagles, a lovely surprise arranged by my daughter and son-in-law. The room in the new wing was very well appointed. Both bathroom and bedroom had everything required for your comfort. The spa and pool were excellent, neither became too crowded for comfort and we swam there at different times of the day. The menu in the restaurant was both varied and interesting, The food was of a very high standard and really delicious. The selection available for breakfast was huge, everything imaginable was available including steak! I would suggest that you select your breakfast time carefully as we had to wait quite a while for a table for four people to become available. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the food they serve. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I asked a waiter the name of one of the cheeses I was served. He disappeared to the kitchen and came back with the name and supplier written on paper for me. It is quite an expensive place to stay but for a special occasion it could not be faulted, it really is a lovely place. The grounds can also be enjoyed as there are some pleasant walks, or of course if you are a golfer it must be paradise!

Had an amazing time over New Year with family. It was full of nice people who seem to return year on year and we can see why. There was so much to do for adults and children - our kids absolutely loved it. The service from all of the staff could not be faulted. It is not cheap but the quality of everything is superb - you get what you pay for.

Just returned from a fabulous three night stay in Gleneagles. We had only booked for two nights, but we were having such a great time that we added on another night! We stayed in The Oban Suite which was discounted as a special offer for January. Beautiful large bedroom, lounge and bathroom. Beautiful views. The food was first class as always as were all the staff. The newly refurbished leisure facilities are lovely. First Class!!
