We were welcomed by a very friendly and professional Victoria. We were upgraded to a 3bedroomed lodge with 3 bathrooms, it was huge and spotlessly clean and very modern. Good value for money. We would definitely stay again in the future, possibly in the summer when we can enjoy the outside surrounding countryside more!

The good - everything!
The bad - long walk or taxi to Auchterader
We have stayed here in Summer June 2008 and Dec 2009...in the self catering 2 bedroom lodges.
Fab views, great service, ideal exploring base, small leisure centre and great food in the restaurant.
Hope to be back soon!

A weekend at Duchally did not disappoint with the accommodation promised and general area. Easy to find using A823 via Forth Bridge/Dunfermline (not given as a possible route from Edinburgh) or via Stirling and the A9. Check in quick and efficient and shown to hotel room with view over the hills. Room excellent with king size bed and plenty of room to move around. Knowing it was a timeshare briefing was prepared for long sales talk. Mine took 5 hours although we did sign up for the trial period (34 months) after a very friendly discussion. No forceful selling so go with an open mind. Overall membership fee plus annual maintenance may mean the overall cost doesn't stack up compared with using ordinary hotels and it very much depends on what you are looking for in a holiday. The time for the sales talk was advised to us 48hours before leaving home, long after any plans for the weekend had been made. Managed to swop a Saturday for a Sunday but still lost a day. If you are on the sales pitch try and find out when it will be.
Being in the hotel had to make use of the restaurant which provided excellent food although the Sunday roast beef wasn't up to much ! The sales rep joined us for that and he seemed to enjoy it anyway. Breakfast was either Continental (lower charge) or full English (sorry Scottish).
Shown one of the lodges during the sales talk and they looked marvellous - certainly worth a stay.
Evening entertainment variable - one evening just a noise, whilst following evening folk trio quite good.
Overall a pleasant stay with friendly staff and well worth a return visit. Do some homework before going if talking membership and check out the sums.

Had a great five days at the Duchally. Weather was great for this time of year. Went with family members who are part of Club La Costa, however you can still go even if your not a member. Had a very large 3 bed lodge which we invited friends to join us. This was an adult holiday and some were golfers. Auchterarder Golf Course was fab and only £30.00 a round!!!! Glengagles runs along the side £150.00 a round! Indoor pool and Gym are very good. You can hire bikes and the scenery is wonderful. Had a chef with us so never ate in the restaurant. Found the beds comfortable and rooms nice and large.

Went for our final week of the Club La Costa trial membership and stayed in the hotel. Room was OK but had no more facilities than the Best Western we had stayed in in Edinburgh prior to this.
The hotel is about two miles out of the nearest town and has no walks available other than the roads. You need a car to get anywhere but the A9 is only a mile away and we just used it as a base to explore. The food in the restauant was good quality but not cheap.
Staff were helpful but the obligatory war of attrition with the CLC sales woman was terminated by us as we had explained at 8.30 when we met her for breakfast thet we had a vistit to an aunt arranged for 11am and at 10.40 she was still in full flight.
Because of its isolated position there were singers arranged for most of the evenings. The on site pool and fitness centre with mini cafe was well organised. Overall, our view is that there are other hotels better situated with comparable facilities for less money.

6 of us stayed in a 3 bedroom unit here for a week in August. The service was good, and the unit was clean. There was housekeeping every day and good evening entertainment. The beds in the rooms were quite old though and the washer/dryer doesn't dry clothes too well. Those of us from North America may have trouble with the unit.

The unit had 2 ensuites and 3 full bathrooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a starter kit of food from the farm up the road.

You need a car to stay here, but it's within easy driving distance of many attractions.

Have stayed here several times now and would love to live here.I feel I expect a high standard from any holiday location and found that this resort has never disappointed me or my family.
Firstly, the lodges...we've been fortunate enough to stay in the 3 bedroom lodges which are very comfy, roomy enough for 6,and have all you really need. The bedrooms are roomy enough,THE BEDS VERY COMFY.TV in 2 of the rooms,en suite in all rooms with good shower.Lodges very clean, cleaned daily.Over all,I was very happy with the accomodation and liked the style and comfort of them. No,actually,I loved them.
The location can seem a bit remote,it's a lovely quiet "get away from it all" place,if that's what you're looking for,but also a great location to explore scotland. You can hire peddle bike on site, good walks,or relax in the lesiure pool, which at first seemed small but never appeared over crowded. You can get pizza, cake ect, coffees, read the paper here, watch the ducks, just chill.Staff at lesuire place great, helpful, welcoming.
The hotel has a lovely bar area, where, on certain nights, there was a young man who came to tell of ghost stories, jacobites, scotish history, which was great and seemed very popular,We enjoyed that, listened to with a few whiskys.
The resturant was a bit of a let down.We booked for sunday lunch and there were NO yorkshire puddings! meal was ok really but I wouldn't rush back.We tried the bar menu which was fine and we'd do that agian. They also have a lodge/room service menu which was ok too.Breakfast was good, plenty choice,You usually get invited by a club la costa rep to have a complimentry breakfast but ,of couse, you get the sales patter with it, which is fine,we've never experienced any hard sell or anything, infact the sales staff do appear friendly and helpful and are not in any way off putting to the resort.
I find it's a great base if you feel like exploring,Stirlings only about 15 mins away,St.Andrews about 40min,Glen Eagles just down the road. But is lovely to just sit in your lodge, read, have a bottle of wine, sit out on your decking, watch the birds......and just relax.
