I would just like to confirm that all the other reviewers are right: 5 stars without a doubt!!!
We immediately were "at home" at the Lodge. The owners do a fantastic job and really have thought of EVERYTHING you may need and much more. I highly recommend this property as the accommodation is incredibly spacious, superb en-suites to the bedrooms and mind blowing views from the Lodge.
Great fully equipped kitchen and dining area for the whole family. The owners were so kind to receive a Tesco Delivery on our behalf because are arrival was delayed...now that was real service!
The description of the Lodges and location on their website is spot on and the owners were amazing. We have no hesitation in recommending this property and certainly we will be booking again, it was a perfect 5 star experience all the way.
We stayed three days in one wonderful “Glengoulandie Lodge” just in front of a small but beautiful lake with swans and ducks.
The house is in excellent location which allowed excursions to the surrounding area. It is fully equipped and furnished comfortably and tasteful.
We were pleasantly surprised with the useful necessities that were waiting for us in the kitchen and enjoyed the champagne.
We would like to thank Russell and Sandy for their hospitality and kindness.
We truly recommend it and of course, on our next trip to Scotland we will be there again.
I spent a most enjoyable birthday weekend in Eagle Lodge with friends - we were all blown away by how cosy yet spacious the lodge was. From the stocked beautiful kitchen, to the comfortable ensuite bedrooms, to the magnificent view over the water, we couldn’t fault it. The local area is also stunning and we spent a beautiful sunny day hiking up the nearby Birks of Aberfeldy and exploring Aberfeldy itself. Overall we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back!
Fantastic break at the lodge, everything inside is top quality and very modern. The location is perfect for watching the deer across the Loch and all the wildlife.
We can only agree with what the other guests wrote about Eagle Lodge: Brilliant! Very comfortable, good furniture, well equipped kitchen.
Watching the waterfowl, dear and even an eagle and ravens from the balcony/decking, sitting in the sunshine every day…
We did some waterfall walks; the short hill walk at Menzies Castle and we toured in the afternoon. There are so many things to do, we could easily have stayed a week. From all the accommodation we rented in the last few years in Scotland (Spring time and Autumn) we all agreed: Eagle Lodge is the best!
Beautiful lodge on the edge of a small loch. The attention to detail was impressive. The goodies on arrival were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The lodge was immaculate, spacious and huge! The scenery from the windows/ veranda were breathtaking . Fed the ducks and swans every morning and evening. Watching their evening antics was better than TV. The weather was fantastic with never ending blue skies. Russell and Sandy were very attentive friendly hosts ensuring we had everything we needed. They responded quickly to any queries. Good central location to explore Perthshire.
Just arrived home from a long weekend staying at the Rainbow Lodge at Glengoulandie with friends. On arrival the first impression you have is the setting, the lodge sits right on the Lochan, and has amazing views of the surrounding hills, including Schiehallion, with red deer grazing on the hillside opposite the lodge. There are birds and wildlife aplenty, enough to suit even the most ardent naturalist.
The lodge itself was beautiful, well maintained and equipped, with loads of space and great views from the living area window out over the lochan. Each bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom, the bedrooms are well-separated providing good privacy. The balcony is literally right over the edge of the lochan, we had a family of swans visit us several times as we sat outside.
Russell and Sandy had left a welcome pack to start our stay off, and a nice surprise of a bottle of wine and a sizeable pack of assorted biscuits.
The aim of our break was for relaxation, so we didn't venture out too far, but it was mission accomplished. We had a quiet stroll around the area, it was so peaceful, the only drama experienced was with the wildlife, the ducks squabbling and the swans protecting their cygnets! The lodge is situated in a stunning area, a short walk or drive will take you to some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer.
We met Russell and Sandy who were very keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay, which we did, 100%
I would wholeheartedly recommend these lodges to anyone who values peace and quiet, great accommodation and stunning surroundings!
